Now I also understand that Niger Delta is a creation of the constitution and by its makeups Abia and IMO State are also part of Niger Delta.. The membership of Cross River is contestable, but you hardly here people from there appoint themselves as Niger Deltas..

The Niger-Delta is a term that British used for the area and people who fall within the River Niger tributuaries in Southern Nigeria. Bayelsa, Rivers, Abia, Imo all fall within this term. Niger Delta is a terminology used politically to refer to states that produce crude oil and have untapped Natural gas.
-Niger Delta is NOT a tribe but Many tribes make up the Niger Delta.
