This is disappointing!

Plain truth. Just the danger of having state police on governors hands. Imagine what those agitating for Biafra could have done.

He spoke the truth all through, except on the issue of state police. Nigeria cannot institute state policing yet because virtually all the the state governors are criminals, con-artists and unscrupulous people.

They are so good @ making points but give them opportunity to rule and see em backtrack on their earler statements.

The biggest disappointment is tinubu not being able to become president, that's the real shame here.

If you not resident in lagos, you won't understand.

Everybody want state police......but my questn who will pay them.....will they b under full control of d state and FG still pay them or the various that is owing salaries will now pay them......though I see d good side wen I remember Mr MBU( ex rivers commissioner) but what if the state governor now use them for thier own advantage cos I still remember what happened in abia state in 2011 election during TA ORJI tenure

That'ld be a recipe 4 chaos... you can't. Train and give someone a gun then owe him 3months salary.

My humble question is:
How do we ensure the killings won't happen again?

Or better still:
What has the federal and state governments done so as the definite preventive measure forestalling future recurrence of the massacre?

Except that is done, I am not seeing hope from the government and yet still, "civilians should not carry ams without license"

What are fammers expected to do?

Yes, a few still exist that stand for the truth against all odds. More truth at http://judefejokwu..com

Re: Femi Falana On Channels TV Today: 7 Points He Made by Nobody: 5:18pm On May 09, 2016
Inspectahdeck:
Ex-commissioner of police, Enugu, Nwodibo Ekechukwu deserves some punishment: He said that the transfer of the ex-police boss in the state is not enough as the community had alerted the governor who then alerted the commissioner of police but failed to take actions. He further said that all heads of security agencies- commissioner of police, Director of state security service and Army commander in Enugu were guilty of security negligence and should be dealt with accordingly.

Is Nigeria ripe for state police, With the mentality of our governors?

We have to consider Nigerian fact when discussing policies.

Just imagine giving wike State Police.

The problem with Nigerians like @Omoakinsuyi is that their minds have been so abused by the crudity of the kind of politicians they revere, they do not believe anyone could just speak objective on national issues without having some political/ethnic/religious ulterior motives.

You are asking for mayhem. State government that cannot pay salaries? Police being owed 4months salary, he will rob like Robb, and extort money like hell on earth. Those that drive cars with their mouth don't have car accidents.

Falana is on point. How can a governor wear the apparel of the chief security officer of a state when the police commissioner is answerable to the IG? State policing is the right approach unless governors are stripped of their security responsibilities. Hence, any security breach should be blamed on the IG.
