I could as well ask them to stick it on my palm or forehead . ;DD

Lol easy tiger . lol.
Truth is if Nigeria was half of what d USA is not many people would want to migrate . east or west home is d best.
My dad once told me that during his time wit Nigerian Airways only few people made up of mostly student travel out cos things were much better n Nigerians were contented den. Not like d present generation were few people would share d budget of some African countries .
Now everyone wants to leave dis country for better place even if na to do escort. Truth is bubuhari/Osinbajo is d last hope I had for Nigeria n I must say am almost giving up on dem. May God help us .
And to those that understand what d CBN is saying, what does it mean? I hardly understand anything DAT is not rock or geophysics dis days
Buhari and Osinbanjo is your hope? Hahaha. Hey stop it. Have you met some Nigerian politicians abroad before?

They are so disciplined and down-to-earth you could hardly know they are politicians but once they return to Nigeria? It's totally a different ball game.

The way one of them was holding his international passport? SMH.

Naira has been devalued and the second tier market(black market) has been abolished
We would know the exchange rate on monday. meanwhile it is expected that speculators will stop playing their games and rate will settle around 300(my opinion)
Yes the devaluation is the official policy pls transmit to the forum.
Don't rush to aboki yet wait till monday... meanwhile it has dropped from 370 this morning to around 330 on the street right now.

Naira was not devalued, Implicitly, the Naira may Decline vs the USD within the first few weeks, but as Inflow begins to match or Exceed outflow, the Demand/Supply forces will shape a new, lower exchange rate.

Bottomline; CBN continues to be the major source for USD to the Foreign Exchange Primary dealers, the rate at which CBN sells to them will determine the rate they sell at the Inter-Bank Market. The inter-bank rate will now be the official rate of the Dollar.

The Black-Market will still exist to supply to the 41- Items Classified as Not Valid for foreign exchange
The Inter-bank market is not allowed to sell to BDC.
All the other allowed transactions as previously approved by the CBN (form A, PTA etc, must be backed by documentation) can be done at the Inter-bank market.

please review these Giudeline released by the CBN today to understand the new policy

don't be offended but I'll tell you to shut up. Do you know how many travellers especially Americans have always wanted to see my green passport at the airport. My siblings were all born in America but I was not opportuned cause my mom went into early labor here I was born in Nigeria. I will be a citizen of America in 3months time cause my mom already filed for my citizenship but I will still cherish the green passport. I have friends who want to come to Africa,I still respect Nigeria no matter the economic challenges now.

Busted!!! So you skipped being PR and jumped straight to citizenship abi? You must think all of us on this thread are dumbasses! cheesy How did your mom file for citizenship for you? It's either she filed a petition for you to become a green card holder first or you become a citizen automatically through your parents who were citizens (even though you were born in Nigeria, they just need to file some paperwork, apply for a CRBA(Consular Report of Birth Abroad) if you're under 18 or a Certificate of Citizenship if you're over 18 and you become a citizen as well). I'm pretty sure if the latter is the case, you will know. If you will be a USC in 3 months, why did you not wait until then before you go to grad school instead of hustling for student visa in Nigeria and pay international student fees when you could pay lesser. Even if my Dad was Dangote, I would prefer to wait three months and have the luxury of going to school as a USC, common sense na, lol. Either ways, your story has holes. Small small on this thread abeg!

I am a regular traveler too, and not once has anybody requested to see my Nigerian passport. Haba now!!!

A Nigerian passport is that dingy worthless looking piece of paper with green cover with ECOWAS logo on it while a visa is like a pass on ur passport that gives u permission to enter the country whose visa u got. I got my passport 29k in February n it is 32 pages

Okay, thanks for your polite reply, how much does it cost to get US visa?
