Police officials in the city of Texas, United States have confirmed that the eighth grade teacher who got reportedly pregnant after having sex affair with her 13-year-old student has turned herself in.

Alexandria Vera, 24, had in September last year admitted to engaging in a sexual affair with a young boy who was her student, after they began flirting during a summer school session. Prosecutors disclosed that Vera confessed to have given the young lad her number on Instagram after he failed to attend one of the English classes and that the relationship developed from there. The lady was an eighth grade English teacher at Stovall Middle School in Houston, Texas

Subsequent information revealed through court documents showed that the boy asked Vera if they could hang out, a request she agreed to. After this, they started going out using her car. This outings paved the way for kissing and soon started having sex almost everyday.

Further revelations shows that the two first sexual encounter happened when it was found that the boy's parents were not home after Vera had dropped him off at home. However, instead for the boy to stay till they return, he returned with the accused.

Although she is being charged for underage sexual assault, however, it was revealed that the 'love birds' didn't keep their relationship a secret both at home and in school. A student revealed to Eyewitness news that ''[The student] like grabbed her butt and everybody saw it. And then they were talking about it."

According to ABC - 13, Vera, who is a mother of one, told police that she and the teen 'are in love' and that she had been introduced to his family as his girlfriend. She also claims that the family are accepting of the relationship and often include her in family gatherings.

According to court documents, Vera said the parents allowed the teen to spend the night at her house, after which she would drop him off at home in the morning so he could catch the bus to Stovall Middle School in Houston, Texas.
