My brother, that guy is not a street guy at all. Back then 1992, I use it to make long skipping ropes in 3 folds and use it to skip. ways to play...
1. dig a little hole and set 20 each for like 7-10 persons wit a box 1-3 meter wide and play. u just need one rubber out the line to win all. most of us pull the head of the slippers rope out and play with hope of it pulling one out. we call it CHAMPIONS GAME.
2. we stone to a wall and allow to bounce back in order for one rubber to be untop another and u win lots on the ground.
3. we shoot using diff patterns to havethe farthest rubber win the game.
many more ways. it was really fun.

immediately we come from school and pull off uniform we are already into the streets. many of us play rubber and sell to make money used to impress guys and ladies then. we were big boys in school after the previous day wins buying chin chin and rice for 1 spoon #1 ( bangs and coconut rice) on one kind of green leaf.

There is one called shekere......you cut the rubber and put in small pieces of straw to form a bead like rubber and you mend the rubber back by knotting it.

Advantage? When you play it bounces on top the rubbers in proximity to it.
