Somebody is being economical with the truth. Fayose claims that the government is paying N300m monthly on a loan of N31 billion naira, and it will remain like that until 2036 (20 years' time).

Let's assume that Fayemi didn't repay any part of the loan. Let's also assume that Fayose has not paid any part of the loan since he came on board in October 2014 and the repayment is only starting now.

From my calculation, 300,000,000 x 20 x 12 will be paid back by 2036. That's N72 billion on N31 billion loan (excluding what part of it has been paid already)!

Fayose, there is something you're not telling us!!!

This is a lay man calculation , leave that for professionals

Fayose should do well to spare us the sermon. Just to tell how vision less the irritant could be, all he could do with a loan of N10bn that was meant for capital projects was to do a flyover and build a market, where he could continue his stunts with ponmo cutting.

Then again, it has to be said how political rulers deliberately plunge their states into debts, by issuing all manner of bonds, drawing all manners of loans which simply varnishes as soon as they are accessed.

Perhaps, a legislation has to be made to compel governments at all levels, henceforth, to only seek loans which they can demonstrate a capacity to repay in the lifetime of their administration. Otherwise, they should start exploring the possibility of a Build-Own-Operate and Transfer kind of model for capital projects they can't finance.

Now tell me which country is Afirca's fastest growing economy.

By the way, food (staple) prices boomeranged all over the world. There were signs of it in GEJ's time because I remember Bismack Rilwan warning Okonjo-Iweala on her policies.
Coted'voire is presently the fastest growing economy in Africa, followed by Tanzania.
Nigeria is not even among the 15 fastest growing economy in Africa, not even 15!! from 1st in Africa, 3rd in world.
If that's not failure what is it.
Let me not hear you say crude price, Nigeria is not the only country that depends on crude in Africa but its the worst hit because of government policies.

GEJ left Nigeria with crude production of 2.2 million barrels/day
Bubu has dropped it to about 680,000 barrels/day.
Tell me one thing that's right in this buhari's government?

So it is alright for him to blame others for his inability to perform but Buhari should not blame Jonathan for his woes.
Indeed Fayose is a mindless hypocrite!

Stop blaming the past government and provide solutions to the people of ekiti, election has been over for more than a year . If you know you cannot pay salaries then you should resign. All the pdp people that refuse to vote for positive change are now facing negative change from fayose .
Those praising him for wasting tax payers money to go and pose in a train station in China should donate money for him to pay the workers ooooo
All pdp erats will now cover their heads in shame as their hero is now so powerless that he can't even share cups of rice and premature chicken as he used to.
You guys just keep blaming Fayose, Actually its not Fayose fault. The fault is from FG, that reduce each state Revenue. The lucky states are the state that generate much internal Revenue... #all unpayment of State Salaries should be Blamed on present FG

Nw, i knw that fayose is the biggest thief.
Remember that the bail out funds was for months whn jonathan was still in power. Whn oil prices was high nd the was oil boom. What happened to allocations then? That means he stole them.
Imagine saying that the state pays abt #1.1 billion naira monthly as debt. That's abt #13.2 billion naira yearly times 20 years= #264 billion.
Those fayose thing everybody are daft? Abi he thinks that those hearing nd reading his statements are fools?
BTW, what happens to internally generated revenue or is ekiti solely funded by FG as a FG pet project?
How much does the state make in revenues generated internally?
Make fayose answer this questions.

The truth is, many don't even understand what he wrote, as Tinubu boys, once they just hear the name Fayose, they go wild. Fayose first term he paid salaries on the 21st, how will that same man not able to do same. He left 10billion naira while Fayemi squander all with 6months un paid salaries for Fayose to inherit and 35years debt. GEJ left 35billion dollars reserve, PMB and is mosquitoes economic team have almost squander it, telling their zombies that he left empty treasury. If he left empty treasury, where did PMB got the money for bail out? zombies can't understand common sense
