amaechi1: and you forgot to mention orubebe and the Nimasa boss were tried as well... continue applauding a divisive move.... It will soon reach the chemical state of total disorderliness... Then the Lugard arrangement will be separated for good. Obj did a similar thing but in a more systematic way and no part of the nation could complain like this... 2 Likes |

Quite frankly the state of origin of the retirees should be irrelevant. If they were legally and justifiably retired, it's all good. I can wait until the "States of Origin" provision of the proposed constitutional amendment is fully implemented. Sadly, one of GEJ'S last actions of his presidency was to send the Amended constitution back for review, effectively setting us back a few more years. It remains difficult to forgive GEJ for all the harm he has singularly inflicted on Nigerians an even unborn Nigerians. 2 Likes |

If correct, its not unexpected or suprising. Its a miscalculation, though. Overconfidence will derail them. God will catch them in their craftiness. |

See them... So for una mind una wey be bloody civilian wan decide for the army? Na una be the commanders-in-chief of the arm forces? For whatever reasons those guys are retired, no amount of civilian wailing will reverse it. Someone said, OBJ did a similar thing and brought back discipline and professionalism, GEJ couldn't, and now PMB is towing the line of OBJ and we are wailing, abeg make I hear word. 2 Likes |

LordVarys: Buhari never came to do anything positive for Nigeria as a country. Buhari only came to undo what OBJ and GEJ sewed together, a National , cohesive army in a United Nigeria. Are there people who still think that this medieval Despot, this remnant of Nigeria's horrible past, would leave Nigeria a better country ? It really really painful that in just one year, we are accelerating fast backwards, towards the ugly parts of our past. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

I beleieve non of these short memory pple raised their voices when a Christian gov was killed alongside a Christian ex soldier (azazi) by a Christian president. maybe they had no access to news when a Christian NSA was replaced, for saying the obvious, with a Muslim NSA by a Christian president. |

poseidon12: Yes he should. Some officers that were retired in 2006 unjustly, went to court and some of them got reinstated in 2009 with full benefits. Others, however, remained dismissed. The military powers does not supercede that of the court, They are still subject to the laws of the land. Most times, dismissed military men don't seek redress because they know they won't get reprieve due to the nature of their case. |

Why can't Sahara reporters release the so called list of retired officers? So much rumor mongering in Nigeria with an intent to cause internal crisis. Many of the people don't know what war or internal conflict means? Its quite unfortunate that even educated people are falling for this evil wickedness. |

STFUand4kMeHARD: You are here stoking the fire, hope u bear the heat when it comes. The igbos are the most travelled in Nigeria. They are more igbos in the north than in the south, yet you wouldn't mind endangering their lives because you can type on NL. Since the soldiers were put on trial some months ago what contribution did u make. What support did u give. What findings did u make. Their trial was not a secret, but then you ddnt see anything wrong in it. Instead of being objective you are busy beating the drums of war. Maybe you think ipob will overrun the Nigerian army like u do on NL. Do you not know that the igbos are even more normadic than the fulanis in terms of movement and occupied terretories. Do you think biafra land alone will contain all of them in the event of a war? You have to be careful how u drag gullible southerners, who are pained that Jonathan lost, along. You can call me Yoruba if u like but truth is the yorubas have demonstrated more maturity as far as Nigeria is concerned today. I will rather side with them than with a pple who will drive their own to self destruction for a second time. You pple talk of oppression as if the igbos will not do worse to other minority tribes should biafra come. Look around and see marginalization everywhere, even in Abia, anambra, ebonyi, imo, delta, river, bayelsa, enugu and Edo. How are we faring down here. I will advise you to drop all that hatred for buhari so you can see properly bro. |
