uc4uandc: Wait, i don't get it. You mean some people's ambition is just to work in a ministry? or some government institution? When i tell people; Are there hard hard working Nigerians, yes there are, but to be honest there are a lot of extremely lazy bunch. Just imagine someone's ambition is to work for a ministry and hence because of that, he/she won't apply for Npower. Oh My God. In this age where people are creating things and improving the way we live. Its sad, it really is. 2 Likes |

Would you remain idle for two years or searching for jobs you can't guarantee that you will get or rather manage the 23k job that is available and have added job experience. Don't be discourage. I once sideline higher institution and went to learn handwork, some friends said why should I abandon school to learn work? But Alhamdulillah (glory be to Almighty God) am a graduate and I have not search for employment while going to school and for the past 5 years that I have graduated. Best of luck to those applying for the Npower program. |

I doubt if 23k is truly the salary for this job, but if it is, then I wonder how anybody plans to survive on this. This goes to show that skill is always better than a degree , if not, China would not be where they are today. |

It seems what this government wants to do is tie this people down and claim they created 600 k jobs, there must really be unemployment in the land. The job of the government is not to create jobs, rather they provide conducive environment for private sector to create jobs. |

[quote author=canymix post=46556369] Hmmm. Frontpage Hmmm. Frontpage. Who cares about 1st to comment? I dnt! Hope Npower will not affect my airforce ambition. Inbetween any of the two that come is a pride to me. Brethren apply, dnt be discouraged, journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. Trust me if this program was to be the defunct sure-p of the past govts, unemployment rate wouldhave been reduced to the barest minimum, graduates wouldhav be happier, skilled and highly useful to himself, family, society and ofcos to the possible employers[ What a shame. You are encouraging Graduates to go & work for 23K a month after how many years in school. What is the salary of a driver in the Federal Ministry? Aboki dey pick 25K monthly just to open gate and wash Car/Cars. You praising a hopeless Govt for paying for Graduates 23k a month. Wish you such Job in Jesus Name. |

If that is why they are requesting for BVN then I must say it is a smart way to check the process. Gradually we are getting there, finally my country has a functional database. BTW from the comments I see our typical behavior of not taking time out to read properly and understand a process nor asking questions when in doubt but rather jumping to amazing conclusions or swallowing other people's perceptions. 1 Like |

fmlala:Is there any column for unemployed in occupation when filling the BVN form, for you to say it's required in the ongoing registration to ensure employed people don't register? A person that was employed some months back could have been retrenched, does that mean he will be disqualified for N-Power because his BVN reads employed? Take those just retrenched from banks as an example. 1 Like |

megareal: Ur comment makes me laugh... I stay at home all day (most times in my music Studio built in front of my house)... I make nothing less than 120k a month (worst scenario) since March that I started fiverr... This earning is after I have deducted the cost of running generator 24/7, data for Internet and miscellaneous as I have a family. Most people might wonder what I do in my studio with generator all day without seeing artists often in my studio... They will never know until I blow... Now tell me which kain curse go make me go put my head for this Npower rubbish... Nigerian youths and mostly graduates should open their eyes to opportunities. 1 Like |

uc4uandc: Shut up. It is because of people like you that Nigeria remains corrupt. Hardly satisfied youth. You can never get a perfect job because human beings are insatiable. Learn to make do with what you have and let those that have nothing at all enjoy the program. Stop spreading your corrupt thinking around. No hard feelings, just saying my mind for your benefit and that of the follow follows who don't know how to think for themselves.✌ |

If truly d BVN will prevent you from securing a govt job.... my question is hv u gotten one since u'v been at home? This program is just for 2 years and after dat, u can go secure a government job with the certification from dis program as a strong aid. Again, the fact that someone applied for a job of 23k does not make dat person any less in society even as a graduate. It's all in d big picture. Who dey soak garri today get plan All d best! 2 Likes |
