What is endtime there now..? Na now u wan pray..... Been wondering...Moses can have good explanation to this...he could tell when the red sea would dry up. because he knew the cause. Scientific stunts...nature is powerful...examine it |

hardbody: I don't know why people like demeaning themselves. This is not a difference between white and black or green and yellow. It's the difference between primitive man and modern men, enlightened and uninformed. White people have been worshipping mountains for thousands of years it's only recently they started applying reason and science. Were they black all the while. 3 Likes |

It would be interesting to know what's really happening. If am to investigate, I would first found out how dry is it really. I will drive a long stick through the weed and check what depth I encountered water. I will try to find our what plant that is and also check under the bridge and see what caused the discontinuity to the other side. 4 Likes |

hardbody: Sorry about that, what am saying is any unenlightened and primitive man either white black yellow or red can see the mountain and erect an altar. It's the level of sophistication and education. The whites were as superstitious as any other people but gradually they got enlightened, till date there are still white people who are superstitious even famous white people. |

rabzy: I am not opinionated on this. My post only quoted an author and i applied the passage to the supposed river that became dry and people were walking on the water hyacinth. I only said there could be possible scientific explanation other than end times. Sha no vex. |

post=46691705:Pls,investigate the lagoon under third mainland bridge. I am beginning to see a form of vegetation growing on top of the lagoon. I dunno if I the only one that noticed this. What I am imagining now is if the lagoon ends up looking lyk ds river |

This isn't mysterious or spiritual, river algae can grow rapidly in hours and cover the entire river and can die rapidly too. (it's like water leaf). It's usually a threat to water transport and can destroy propellers in some boats. We did geography and social studies, basically there are 3 stages of a river, this is a typical feature of a lower stage. Yes it is a threat to the river ecosystem that is why government should remove it asap. There would be sharp increase in oxygen and increased methane gas from dead flora. Lower stage (when a river loses velocity and the river or a portion of it is dying) of a river can commence naturally or by man/construction. 1 Like |

EDhims:bravo! this is the most appropriate scientic explanation i hav come across rather than all those geological jargons. Eutrophication( nutrient enrishment of water bodies) caused by the discharge of organic waste into water leading to alga boom(regenerative seaweed). Considering human activities around that river banks, ur explanation is not blown out of proportion. kudos to you fellow scholar! 1 Like |

Blossom023:but don't you think your reply is hypocritical, you said you prefer chasing monkeys to rational thinking but you would love to use the end result of those who try to figure things out and make life better for everyone. I am not against believes but it irritates me when we meet phenomenon that are alien to us and we just lazily ascribe a supernatural curse to it without investigating. remain blessed too. |
