if Laterite filling is 200mm directly below the ground level, does that mean average depth of topsoil excavation to be 200mm as well or it would still be taken as the Average depth of 150mm. |

This is a nice write up however there's a huge gap (in some areas) which is far from reality. Backfilling from your post is not what is experienced on the field. A lay man will at the end of the day use your post and the architectural drawing ( which at most times the architect don't visit the site to know the terrain, level or otherwise at the site) then juxtapose the cost of "actual filling" needed to complete the job while forgetting that there are procedures to back filling itself. It will be noteworthy to clearly state that your piece does not reflect what happens on site (most drawings are done by architect; who rarely visit the site and the structural drawings are much straight to point). |
