This is no innovation, neither a discovery. He is only making use of the conducting property of the metal used in making the chain. He could have as well used two half split plastic pipes filled with water & you just plug your charger into it.
This is an accident waiting to happen that can be prevented by a pair of #500 extension boxes.

His invention needs few modifications (I.e insulation) just like any new invention. Soon one Chinese company will make a prototype and sell back to us at premium price. They will call it flexible and expandable extension box then your inferiority complex will make you call them genius.

You will soon know about stuffs I have innovated. There are safety standards to adhere to. He thought outside the box, no doubt, but this is not an innovation. Extension boxes work on the same principle using cheaper and better materials in terms of at least; conductance and resistance to rust. And yeah there are foldable, flexible and expandable extension boxes already.

He would not be given a patent for something like this. That is my point and opinion but if you think otherwise that's good. Good morning.

The bulk of what would get us power is based on Contracts and Agreements which Fashola as a lawyer is MORE THAN QUALIFIED to handle.

I don't see any reason for an insulator in there. It's definitely going to affect it as its not a good circuit .

Very dangerous, no insulator btw the two terminals.

The concept is simple but it need a modification as a safety measures, There should be an insulator (Rubber) in between each chains. However, If the power source if from battery, there is little danger because it cannot shock.

Right conclusion, but wrong premises...he did not discover anything, we all know before now that, bicycle chain can conduct electricity, no discovery here.

However, the application of this already known body of fact into a utility that is helpful to mankind or the repurposing of this well known usage of bicycle chain into something else (aka extension box) is the innovation.

Look at the begining of the chains you can clearly see the wires from the generators

The first thing to consider is safety. He instead blatantly and stupidly ignored this. That's 220v of a/c he's playing with. He could have at least use empty table water pet bottles to finish the insulation

@OP topic is mis-leading. What was created rather was an alternative to extension boxes and NOT a chain charger The chain is connected to a source of power and allows chargers to be plugged in. This is dangerous and should only be encouraged with proper insulation put in place. He can use discarded car tires to insulate some parts not in use

This is very dangerous. How much is an extension socket for one to risk his life or someone life who mistakenly touches the chain maybe while trying to plug one's charger
