magzey: Ignorant man. With the ceeding of Bakassi to Cameroun to the East and oil wells to Akwa Ibom to the west Cross-River ceased to be an oil producing state since the time of Yaradua. Their allocation is like every other state now. And nothing of what was promised them by the Obasanjo government was implemented. Bakassi citizens remain largely refugees without a status of their own. No homes, no villages and no towns. 1 Like |

The NE is currently experiencing peace and you're there encouraging ur militants to destroy.....take note of this Buhari does not need ur irrelevant vote to be elected as president in 2019,mitcheew!!! Mere minority....with the yoruba mutual relationship with the north,we've been able to produce the first democratic president and currently occupying the seat of Second most powerful citizen, chil up boy cos ur hatred for buhari will only relegate ur region to the back ground of nigeria politics has it is doing now. |

amtaken: You don't make any sense. PMB was elected barely a year ago and these people are claiming of aggrieved. Why didn't they talk in 5years rule of Jonathan. PMB said people cannot steal anyhow and must account for what has been identified to be stolen from the federal treasury, then problem started. To the extent that a group said government should jettison the corruption probe of south eastern people, free anyone alleged of any offence etc and people said we hail you. In all honesty, can anyone claim of patriotism in their demand? Jonathan refused but PMB has started the cleaning up of Ogoni land which is paramount because of the people's suffering as a result of the spillage. Let people begin to talk about how to secure future and condemn evil acts instead of shouting on ethnic trends 1 Like 1 Share |

Reference:i remember dat time during a ICJ- bakasi trial, OBJ was so unserious with d whole thing. d man put up a weak defence, sending ill prepared govt representatives. OBJ never gave a fight during d whole trial. he ended up making caricature of nigeria. after seeing nigeria's unseriousness n weak defence on real owners of bakasi peninsula, ICJ gave judgement in favor of cameroon. it was afta d judgement dat OBJ began to realise d cluelessness of his actions started shouting international conspiracy. militants of calabar should hold OBJ responsible for making bakasi residents refugees in their own con3. nigeria is a serious zoo. |

DaFlash:Bros, d original "Bakassi Pennisula" has long been handed ova to Cameroun. Dis particular "Bakassi LGA" was just anoda area of land acquired by d govt within Cross-River State to resettle displaced Bakassi pipo who refused to join d Republic of Cameroun, nd also d name was retaind for dis new Bakassi LGA in order to maintain d existin 774 LGA structure since d original Bakassi Pennisula lost to Cameroun was one of d 774 LGA in Nigeria. |
