Photos | Japanese offensive submarine soryu-class.. the world's strongest conventional submarine currently
The Japan-class offensive submarine is characterized by hydrodynamic design, which is based on the older submarines of the category, and is considered to be the most distinctive of the sue submarines, the largest in terms of displacement from former Japanese submarines and its steel structure. The High-Tensile Coating, which was covered with paint paint to reduce the sound waves from the submarine and to maintain its phantom silence, is characterized by its rear design as an " x.. due to the desire of the Japanese Navy. In giving the submarine the greatest possible maneuverability.
The submarine entered the Japanese Naval Service for the first time in 2009
Currently serving in the Japanese Navy with 9 submarines out of 14 sub-Submarines.
It'S 2900 tons on the surface and 4200 tons at the dive.
It's 84 metres long, 9.1 meters wide, 37 km / h in case of dive.
Range: 7060.75 miles equivalent to approximately 11297.2 km (generally range variable by speed)
A dive can dive to 2132 Feet.
A crew of 65, including 9 Officers.
The submarine has 6 533-mm slots to launch missiles and heavy torpedoes.

Drdo Ground Based Mobile ELINT System (GBMES) for air force

Ground Based Mobile ELINT System (GBMES) comprises of
one Control Station (CS)
and three Receiving Stations (RxS)
integrated in master slave concept to search, detection, monitor, record and process the hostile emissions as well as to find the location of the emitter fulfilling the strategic EW requirements of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
One of the three Receiving Stations is also configured to operate in master slave configuration (with minimal degradation) in the absence of Control station.

Each Receiving Station contains three ELINT Receiver Segments in the 70MHz-40GHz frequency range. In addition, one COMINT Receiver Segment covering the 30 -1000MHz frequency range is employed to intercept, monitor the COMINT signals.

GBMES is envisaged to operate in the frequency range from 70 MHz to 40 GHz
covering Radar bands and 30 MHz to 1000 MHz communication bands. The system is capable of interception, analysis and location fixing of radar signals and interception, monitoring of communication signals.

The salient features of the system are as follows

Wide Frequency coverage from 70MHz to 40GHz and COMINT segment 30-1000 MHz
Achieve High Sensitivity & DF Accuracy with accurate Emitter Parameters
Quad Superhet Receiver Front-end Technology
Quad Digital Receiver Technology
Built-in Radar Finger Printing System (RFPS)
Location Fixing (LF) using triangulation
Generate Electronic Order of Battle (EOB)
Provide interface with onboard units i.e., GPS Receiver, SATCOM Link and Data Link Communication Unit of Air Force.

Pakistan finalizes the JF-17 Thunder Block-3 Design...............!
The Sino-Pak JF-17 ‘Thunder’ fighter aircraft has completed its Block-III design, an upgrade intended to match latest fourth-generation military jets such as the F-16V and Saab Gripen NG.

The outgoing Chief of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman announced on Monday that the design of the JF-17 Block-III had been finalized after a period of “two-and-a-half years,” Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

The Block-III version of the single-seat aircraft is to be equipped with an active electronically-scanned array radar, upgraded avionics suite, new electronic warfare and countermeasures system besides a helmet-mounted display and sight. Newly developed air-to-air missiles and a targeting pod are also to be added.
The Block III version would boost the exports prospects of the JF-17 in countries that cannot afford expensive Western origin fighter aircraft such as the F-16V. Already, Myanmar is a customer for the Block II aircraft having signed a $560 million in July 2015 for 16 jets.

The JF-17 costs substantially less compared to fourth-generation Western fighter jets. Taking the Myanmar deal is a benchmark, the price of the Block II jets is around $32 million apiece which makes it a third cheaper than the F-16.

I'd wager the block 3 would cost $47million a piece

Yes , monetary compensation was better than the original party which tilted some of the politicians and bankrolled the protests.

Very nicely done by them if I must say so.

Anyways their country their decision.

Apart from the atrocious grammar, I suspect what you wanted to post was: "United States Marine Corps will no loner utilise the EFSS 120mm mortar system.

They're disposing of a particular system to deliver 120mm mortar bombs, but not the 120mm mortar capability, which can never be synonimical to howitzer.

then why are they not replacing it with another 120mm mortar system then dimwit !?

Marine Corps Ditches Towed Mortar System in Push to Fund Modernization

In a push to build its modernization budget and invest in new technologies, the Marine Corps has hauled at least one program of record to the curb -- and is looking for more to cut.

The Corps has already divested of the 120mm Expeditionary Fire Support System to make way for other capabilities, Lt. Gen. Robert Walsh, commanding general of Marine Corps Combat Development Command, told Military.com in an interview.

The EFSS, fielded in the early 2000s, was designed to be extremely portable, small enough to be towed by an all-terrain vehicle that fits easily inside an MV-22 Osprey.

Made by General Dynamics, the full system weighs roughly 18 pounds and can fire high-explosive, smoke and illumination rounds. The system was fired in combat for the first time in 2011.

But Walsh said the Marine Corps is working to extend the range of its artillery arsenal, particularly its M777 howitzer. With its limited range, the EFSS may not be well suited to what Marine leaders perceive as the Corps' future mission.
