Restructuring and renegotiation is the key out of this.If groundout pyramids in north in those days where oil blocks, I don't see people from the south owning 90% plus of them in the name of one Nigeria. This is just one aspect of injustice. Look at the civil service, banking, insurance and other sectors its clear that the people of the south-south and east have been left out, left to feed on the crumbs that fall of the table of people from the north and southwest. The civil war is over but the pound of flesh is still being exerted from one generation to another 5 Likes |

This militants are pure weak fools. Buhari is senior brother of Boko Haram organization and can't be afraid of mere militants who are not ready to die. See, until you start burning houses, mosques, churches, bomb bridges, crack roads, killing women and children etc the old General will not listen to you..... Oyaaa do as I say ngwanu milita muguuuuus |

[quote author=mrkayusfit post=47667807][i][size=11pt]Why is the federal government slowing down their bombardment of this touts? By now the Tanks, warships and bomber jets should have been deployed in full force to the entire Niger delta cos it seems the Indigenes are sympathetic to the scAvengers. Bombing of our oil facilities alone is a treasonable act that must be considered an act of war against Nigeria and here they are threatening to declare Niger Delta Republic. Many states cannot pay salaries and people are dying of hunger because of the actions of these few vagabonds crippling our God given oil wealth. The federal government should not negotiate with them but instead warn innocent people who cares to listen to vacate the region so full military might can be deployed to wipe out the terrorists with brutal force. Anyone caught in the inferno will have themselves to blame cos this nonsense has to stop. The oil is our collective wealth and no group of people can hold us to ransom. We once fed the whole country with cocoa and groundnut pyramid money and no youth from those regions formed militancy. I can smell the hands of the Biafrans in these renewed militancy and they think this approach will blackmail the FG into releasing Nnamdi kanu or restoring the dead and buried biafra of 1970. We will resist any attempt by any groups to break away and we shall never support any form of referendum. A word is enough for the wise. Do anyhow, see anyhow Oil is not our collective wealth Is yam our collective wealth? Is groundnut our collective wealth? Is cocoa our collective wealth? Iranu buruku 4 Likes |

fearNORTH: You are silly. He is telling you the simple truth, your generations unborn will reap this madness all in the name of agitation because we may never develop to the stage of being called an industrialized nation. The multiplier effect of pipeline vandalism is such a chained reaction. It will affect power generation, which will affect industrial activities thus leading to job losses or increased production cost which will even affect you. You may endend up buying things at a higher cost than normal. And lastly, no investor will want to invest in a politically unstable country so thats a huge economic loss. Besides, the environmental consequence is worst because our lands are getting bad. Fishing is our major occupation in the south south and oil spillage is affecting aquatic lives, even our once arable lands are getting clogged and saturated with crude oil, less farming, thus leading to food scarcity and subsequently, hunger will rise in the land leading to a hike in the spste of criminal activities in the region. Its often said, "A hungry man is an angry man". To say the least, these guys carrying out this dastard act aren't even educated and are fighting for selfish reasons. Where is Asari dokubo and Tompolo? They fought for their pockets and when they both got enriched, they decided to pipe low and lay down their arms. Honestly, the amnesty scheme should be scrapped. Its just like having the colombia governmet reintegrate farc rebels by patting them on the back for surrendering after causing so much damage. I come from Akwa-ibom state and I don't support this madness. We have to rise up against evil without bias and speak with one voice.. After 4yrs, Buhari will leave power but our degraded lands will remain with us.. |

The way I am seeing these new hydra headed militants, is that they are just out to destabilise the government of PMB, and frankly but sadly, they are doing a great towards that. All these negotiating things is to divert attention. How many times will FG and well meaning Nigerians fall victim to dialogues with the so called fake NDA, while the "real" ones comes out later to refute any claim of negotiations, they are all the same, but fake and original. Buhari should act fast, firm and decisive before the country collapses, as from all indications, these guys are not ready to talk. 1 Like |
