Excellent display from Vermaelen. Is he an excellent buy or what??  cheesy

RVP must wonder what he needs to do to score - he played out of his skin today but still didn't get on the scoresheet.  Eboue was fantastic for the most part, apart from his ridiculous scholes-esque volleying of the ball in the first half.  grin

Eduardo was dangerous throughout, showing skills, holding up the ball, playing in his  teammates and scoring 'half' a goal along with Eboue.  grin

Calm finish by Fab4 to crown the proceedings, but Capi didn't seem to excited, maybe because the game was already over. Great to see Rozzi playing well and causing danger late on, and if not for Kirkland who played quite well today, we would've scored 8 or more.

All in all a good result to build on the midweek game, and keeps our confidence high.

Note - both Clichy and Sagna were exceptional today, intercepting, joining the attack and playing crosses that actually reached the targets.  grin

yes . . .Verminator is an excellent buy, justifies why peeps like me have been clamouring for quality + experience ahead of potential cool

RVP played out of his skin but I wonder why AS A TOP DOG, HE CANT MANAGE TO USE THE RIGHT LEG EFFECTIVELY, dont come up with the line that he scored Man City with the right foot line PLS angry he should have outgrown some of his weaknesses including that of lack of stamina which is becoming very obvious . . .is he on some perennial pasta diet ?

and I Wonder why AW didnt put Dudu at the centre of proceedings when it was obvious that RVP wasnt just getting it right as the man in the center undecided

Rozzi is the one who gladdens me . . .on the ball HE SWERVES THE WHOLE OF THE OTHER 21 PLAYERS COURTESY OF HIS BODY MOVEMENT . . .and so lovely were those movements that Fab4 had to come play close to him, as against the lack of synergy with other players in the team

Fab4 seems to be injured, dontya think ?

Good result for the boys, anything other than this win would have been a calamity !!!

I don't blame RVP, he showed stamina, especially to retain possession in some circumstances, but the Wigan boys were kicking the lumps out of him. I think he was simply unlucky today - he could easily have scored a hat trick.

and I Wonder why AW didnt put Dudu at the centre of proceedings when it was obvious that RVP wasnt just getting it right as the man in the center  undecided

I think Dudu was highly effective where he played, he was practically the one playing the role of holding up play and then releasing his teammates. His all round play is very impressive at the moment, and the intelligence. . . .fantastic.

Ol boy those few minutes he played were something else - he was all over the pitch playing passes receiving passes, taking shots. Very very good movement and I'm impressed this is someone who has been out for so long.

Fab4 seems to be injured, dontya think ?

Not too sure what's up with Fab4, either he's distracted by something like an injury or he isn't quite back to his best. All the same, it was nice for him to get a goal.

Diaby was so so in this game, but because the other lads were so good for the most part it didn't really matter.

We need to build on this gradually - next game is the CC kiddies against West Brom.

. . .and u had to make me wait so long for a response angry wink

anyways . . .no need begging the question FAB4 is distracted and its obvious with the way he is playing that he needs to step up his game !

I dont in anyway agree with u on RVP's overall game play, in a game like this he should have at least a brace, why ? Wigan never was a threat right from the blast of the whistle, so if he doesnt do so well against these kinda clubs which teams do u expect him to be thumping ? Liverpool ? Chelsea ? undecided
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by debosky(m): 9:30pm On Sep 19, 2009
No vex bro, I had to go handle some biz. wink

I don't see RVP's case the way you see it - he is very close at the moment and the goals are going to start flowing soon enough. I won't mind if he fails to score against Wigan when we win 4-0 if he manages to score and we win 1-0 against one of our top opponents.

RVP clearly likes scoring against the big boys so I'm expecting that to continue. Did you see my boy Nic's assist for Fab4's goal? Now that's vision for you. cool cool

Sauron only comes here after a mishap?
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by DrKitaun(m): 9:34pm On Sep 19, 2009
vision indeed  grin

Bendtner cant pass , .cant shoot . . .cant dribble

what can he do ? use the head ? common gerroutta here

we dont need him if we got Verminator and Gallas doing that for us

dont you get it ? even AW knows he is wack he cant even get meaningful playing time considering Walcott and Nasri arent back yet . . .except of course AW decides to put Eduardo on the bench for him  undecided
Re: Arsenal Fan Thread: For Gunners Only. In Wenger We Trust! by debosky(m): 9:42pm On Sep 19, 2009
yeye grin

He started the Liege revival and crowned today's game with his vision to pick out Fab4's run. cool

The boy is good no doubt about it. Wenger is making sure all his front men can play any position in a three man attack so that's why he's rotating them a bit.

Nicklas had started the last 3 games so he gave him a breather which is logical. Obviously AW rates him far higher than you do. tongue

Today's game was a lesson in football to the premiership. Zola seems to share a bit of the beautiful footie spirit poor Westham. Arsenal must be the birth place of modern beautiful soccer. cool

Lest i forget AA23 wasn't playing, Nasri, Denilson and Wally still not back. Not to mention Merida believes It's his season to bloom. isn't that middle getting too crowed ? Reminds me of the Diarra, Flamini & Song episode. Hope Wenger sorts that ish out without any disgruntled parties. undecided

We seem to have lotta option from ATTACKING Midfield to WINGERS and "strikers" - but defensely. . .im scared. . . .

Hmm a pretty nice win! We might not have another game as one-sided as this all season! Vermelean is a bad mutha-shut-ur-mouth! i damn near ejaculated after seeing his second goal it was a beauty
Someone needs to talk to RVP he was diabolical today simply put he stank! I hope he saw how to score goals from Torres
I dont have much to say bout the rest of the squad but Eboue i just dunno this guy has the potential to be a world class winger if only he works on upgrading his footballing IQ and cuts out his annoying antics

Funny thing is . . . I don't mind Van Persie ending up with 7 goals at the end of the season if everyone keeps scoring.
We do not need a 20-a-season striker to win things.

Chelsea once won the league with Drogba as their top scorer on 12 goals.
Why?? Because everyone else from Robben to Terry contributed goals.
Van Persie is still an instrumental part of te Arsenal forward line . . . we can't go after him for this when we know the kind of player he is.

Berbatov has scored more than 12 league goals in his career.
Van Rapist is YET to score 12 in his entire career as a striker, penalty taker and dead ball specialist of his team.

How is he expensive?
If Citeh can shell £47 milla on Tevez. . . . . . .If Barcelona can splash like £60 milla on Ibracadabra then Dimitar is not an expensive dud.
His goal/game ratio is higher than most of his peers.

Tevez is not a dud . . . you know that, SAF knows that.
Berbatov is rubbish enough to give Welbeck a chance of getting the first team shirt.
As your fans rightly put it, Berbatov is '30mil worth of shite' grin grin

Tevez is the biggest dud in the EPL.
Berbatov rubbish enough? I laugh in Mandarin.
Was Drogba also rubbish enough to give Stoch a chance?
Was Rooney rubbish enough to give Fraizer Campbell a chance?
Eldee, you don't have a prayer.

Tevez starts regularly for a team that has 4 UCL class strikers
Forget buying Lehmann Bothers share on Sept 12th, Berbatov is the best way to waste £30mil grin grin

Hughes is still building a team. The whole project is fresh and most of the strikers there are club rejects.
Liverpool dumped Bellamy, United dumped Tevez, Arsenal dumped Adebayor, Real Madrid dumped Robinho.
So whatz new? How are the UCL class strikers? They are all duds abeg.

When is Mayweather's fight . . . I need to get some sleep before church today.

I am tired already.
Might sue SKY tomorrow. They told us 2 am and all i see on ma TV are some Idumota touts punching each other with no grace n class.
