Graduating with a pass from Nigerian law school is no big deal, especially for students coming from foreign institutions. They find it hard to cope because the curriculum and legal system is different. Lots of students coming from US and UK usually fail law exams the first time.

Besides there had been lots of brilliant and successful lawyers lawyers that graduated from law school with a pass. The indefatigable Gani Fawehinmi was a good example.

While majority of the comments made on the issue stem from the fact that she is a spawn of Mr President, I must humbly state the lurking obvious. She failed, as did many others. Passing the bar exam is no mean feat, those who have gone through the system know this much. There have been cases of First Classers and regular "efikos" flunking the Bar exam too. All I'm trying to say is, failing at one attempt or even more at the law school and probably elsewhere does not mean one is dull. Like phoenixes, most rise from the ashes and make it eventually. They are the ones with guts. While you see a dull brain, the parents see a child who has made them proud above all odds. Mind you, a resit exam at the law school ultimately culminates to a pass grade when passed regardless of how well you've written.
