Young Earth Creationist Ken Ham,
whose life-sized Noah's Ark theme park
opened to the public earlier in July, says
atheists "go ballistic" when children
visit the Ark Encounter and declare that
they disagree with naturalism.
"When I post videos such as this one
that show what children have learned
about the truth of God's Word, atheists
go ballistic and say we are
brainwashing kids — but they want to
brainwash them in the hopeless, anti-
God religion of naturalism," Ham said
Wednesday in a Facebook post , linking
to a short video of a 9-year-old boy
talking about his visit to the Ark.
Ever since the Ark opened, Ham has
been debating critics such as Bill Nye
"the Science Guy," and has been fighting
atheist groups like The Freedom From
Religion Foundation that have warned
school districts against bringing
children to the theme park in Kentucky.
Ham has accused Nye several times of
trying to brainwash children.
"He wants to brainwash kids, to
indoctrinate them, in his naturalistic
(atheistic) religion of meaninglessness
and hopelessness," the Answers in
Genesis and Creation Museum president
said about Nye, after the latter claimed
that every single one of the science
exhibits on the Ark's third deck was
"absolutely wrong."
Nye has in turn accused Ham of trying
to brainwash children, recalling one
encounter at the Ark he had with a
young girl who asked him to change his
way of thinking, in which Nye said she
was repeating the words of her
Creationist-supporting parents.
The FFRF has meanwhile sent letters
to hundreds of public schools in
Kentucky, warning that sending
students to the Ark would be akin to
religious proselytizing.http://m.christianpost.com/news/ken-ham-atheists-go-ballistic-when-children-visit-ark-encounter-speak-against-naturalism-167105/?m=1

What do you what me to say?
Children would believe anything they are told. Not really my business, but as adults we have to re-examine what we learned while growing.

Children born in Atheist homes should also find time to sturdy the various religions and see what good they can get from it.

Building an ark does not prove the bible right. Does not prove all animals over 20million individuals lived in the ark for over 4 months,

does not prove a man and his children built such a large vessel.

Does not prove water covered all the mountains including 5,000 meter tall ararat the ark landed on.

@bolded, thats the real reason why this is dangerous...At a tend age, they are already been told falsehoods about the world and their place in it. If you tell a child who visits this kind of musuem that the real age of the earth is 4.6billion years, how do you think he or she would react?

This is so bad on a number of scales, and i dont mean bad for the adults(they are free to believe whatever they want to), but for the young minds who are just coming to grasp about the world and they should have a real and accurate description of it not so myths that is obviously not true.

So true bro

In primary and secondary schools here, you're forced to take one of IRK or CRK

You just have to chose one

So you go to school and church, they're saying the same thing

The ark is proof that Noah lived and was able to build an ark the size of the one in the picture at the age of 500+ years

The primary account of Noah in the Bible is in the Book of Genesis. Noah was the tenth of the pre-flood (antediluvian) Patriarchs. His father was Lamech and his mother is unknown. When Noah was five hundred years old, he begat Shem, Ham and Japheth (Genesis 5:32).

It is proof that representatives, male and female each, of all species of land animals came from all parts of the world to a small village in Israel to board an ark that was about to destroy the world

It is proof that all species of land animals could live in it for 40 days without eating each other

It is proof that Jehovah killed millions of women and children who existed at the time to get rid of sin

It is proof that the destruction earth by Jehovah was a failed project because sin still exists.

It is proof that Jehovah is confused because he went on to kill all the women and children, again, in Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality, his creation, and sin STILL exists

Jehovah is great

Literally, that famous Ark cannot contain half the population of goats we have in Lagos Nigeria if we are to go by one animal type alone.

I bow o!

Atheists can also believe ANYTHING (as long as it doesn't include the word "God" )

It's glaring that you are questioning the morality behind the actions of Jehovah, but in the first place do you believe the authenticity of the stories.
If you don't that means you are going against the source of your belief which is Science.
Science has proven that there was sometime Sodom and Gomorrah and the ruins are still available till today.

Because they are lies propagated without evidence. How would you feel if people were taking young impressionable children on a tour that claimed the moon was actually split in half by Mohammed.

Or on a tour that thought children that the earth is actually on the back of a Greek God.

Or that lightening are caused by Zeus's rage and earthquakes and floods caused by Poseidon.

There's actually a Harvard graduate on geology that abandoned his educational lessons simply because they went against God's word. That could happen to these children raised with lies.
And it is troubling.
