Muslims attended Sunday mass this morning at churches across the continent, including at the church where a priest was murdered last week.

Teenagers pledging allegiance to so-called Islamic State took hostages at a Catholic church in Normandy, then slit the throat of 85-year-old Rev Jacques Hamel at the altar last week.

This morning, Muslims attended mass to show unity in the face of terror after a spate of horrifying attacks carried out in the name of Islam.

Some sat in the front row, across from the altar where Father Jacques Hamel died. They were joined in the congregation by one of the nuns who was taken hostage during the atrocity last week.

More joined services in Italy, including in Milan and Rome where churches opened their doors for a multi-faith service.
Outside the cathedral in Rouen, close to Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray where Father Jacques died, people applauded when a group of Muslims unfurled a banner reading ‘Love for all. Hate for none.’

Many of those who attended were Ahmadi Muslims, a sect who believe there was a further prophet after Mohammed.

‘We are very moved by the presence of our Muslim friends and I believe it is a courageous act that they did by coming to us,’ Dominique Lebrun, the archbishop of Rouen, said following the service in Rouen.

If Islam should abolish that apostasy law...it's all goodbye to the religion..must one of them got someone killed before they could display such love and all?..and for how long will they keep visiting/attending mass because something they could have spoken against?..
