Progressive01: Stop the obfuscation of facts contained in the article explaining Abia State Government directives. Street trading that was banned in Abia State is different from Hawking. The Governor did not ban Street hawkers neither did he stop "concentrated street shops" without alternative. He provided both constant electricity, security and affordability of the shops as low as N5000 per month and N120,000 per annum for bigger shops. Tell me which other affordable alternatives others offered compared to what you read from the article. 1 Like |

Aba is not yet ripe for this. This flat head ikpeazu shld allow d poor masses to earn a living. Most of them cant afford to pay 5k monthly for a shop. Dt Aba mega mall was a needless project n they r forcing ppl to embrass it jst to raise d States IGR besides it's totally off aba main town. |

Re: Abia Government Bans Street Trading by Nobody: 6:42pm On Aug 04, 2016 |
MadamExcellency:yeah right .. He provided alternatives for millions of street traders in abia.. How many of them can even afford 5000 per month. Some people don't even make 5000 a month I wonder if you are evn gonna say this if it is Lagos or kano.. Hypocritical flat heads. 11 Likes |

Compared to most evacuations I have been this is way much better comparing that enough time was given for the exodus announcement as well as providing cheap alternatives to the traders. Yes, there must be environmental improvement but doing so with a caring heart regards the effect on the people is a priority as well as time for adequate transition. |
Re: Abia Government Bans Street Trading by taurustm(m): 6:43pm On Aug 04, 2016 |
i believe Nigeria is yet to reach this stage. it's not every business owner that's capable of paying 5k each month. Enough considerations should be given to those trying to eke out their living. Nigeria's economic is affected and everybody is aware, government should try show pity in their strategies implementation. |

Progressive01:Good day, I commend you for your honesty. It's sardonic that these Ugandans have this heavy load of hate in them and it's impossible for them to even support any iota of positivity coming from a region outside theirs especially the North. There's no single day you don't see hateful comments from their end. I pray the god they serve touch their hearts. 9 Likes 1 Share |
