When it comes to the ideal age gap in
relationships, everybody seems to have an
opinion. What exactly should be the ideal age
difference between you and your partner, you
may ask?
The bible’s only stance on this is to avoid
marrying someone younger for lustful
reasons, and someone older because of
money.

The bigger the difference in age, the greater
the chances of the relationship not working
out, according to a recent study by the Emory
University in Atlanta.
The study had a total of 3000 participants, and
it was discovered that the likelihood of couples
breaking up increased with the number of the
age gap between them.
Couples with a one year age gap had less
chances of breaking up, unlike those with five
year age difference between them who had
18% chance of going their separate ways, and a
whopping 39% chance for those with a ten
year age gap.

The older we get, the more we realize that age
is but a number. But experts seem to have
different opinion about this.

The study also showed that partners with about
twenty years gap had the highest chance of
going their separate ways – 95%!
But there are those who feel marrying older
men or women bring more respect and
security to them. Some are married to or
dating men who are even old enough to be
their grand fathers. Like Jimmy Page, 72, who
is dating the young actress, Scarlett Sebat, 25,
and many more like him.

One of the researchers, Hugo Mialon said: “It
could just be that the types of couples with
those characteristics are the types of couples
who are, on average, more likely to divorce
for other reasons.”

I don’t think this is totally true though. There are
so many couples with a huge age difference

Life has no defined template...and there is no guarantee that rules like that apply in reality to everyone cz I believe it depends on the couple involved. How willing they are to stay with each other despite their differences...age or otherwise?

Generation gap, ur thinking and mindset won't be in sync.
