The Niger Delta Avengers has agreed to hold talks with the Federal Government to resolve the lingering crisis in the Niger Delta region.

The spokesman for the Dialogue Group, Mr. Ballantyne Agiri, said this in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday.

Agiri said that the NDA had constituted a contact and dialogue group to engage the Federal Government in meaningful dialogue as part of the initiatives to resolve the crisis.

He added that the group was determined to come out with results that would yield lasting peace, equity, justice and harmony among all ethnic nationalities in Nigeria.

The body has collectively and willingly agreed to heed the clarion call of eminent Nigerians and international community to dialogue with the Federal Government,’’ he said.

He urged Nigerians and the international community to follow developments on the issue closely and watch out for which side would violate the terms, rules and spirit of the dialogue.

The Federal Government should from the inception of the dialogue rule out from the agenda any monthly monetary inducement or stipend for the NDA.

“The Federal Government should be ready for structural changes that should be human and development-oriented.

“Members of the avengers’ group (who will participate in the dialogue) have already been selected, each based on his integrity, forthrightness, honesty and life track records.

“The names of members of the group for now shall not be made public for personal reasons until they begin functioning in few days ahead,’’ the spokesman said.

Those are what we need to have a united Nigeria on the path of genuine development.

However for such to happen fiscal federalism or regional government will have to be adopted in place of present anomaly of a system we call democracy that's is fraudulent and not democratic enough.

But will a Fulani presidency support such laudable move Your guess is as good as mine cool

PMB's firm resolve to deal with the terrorists has driven them to seek a soft landing by all means.

I don't blame them for taking the sensible option after witnessing the massacre of their cousins at Arepo.

Let's hope the FG is still willing to negotiate because from the sound of the Nigerian Armed Forces, the militants have exhausted the extra long rope given to them.

In our merry, let's spare a thought for the iPods that have been supporting the scAvengers stance against the government for relevance, maybe they'll start to support Boko Haram as they're the only terrorists left if the scAvengers settle.

May God bless President Buhari and the Nigerian Armed Forces for their wisdom in tackling the economic terrorists.

This is sincere. They're not demanding for money but for structural changes that will fast-track the development of Niger Delta and Nigeria.

The military had already resolved to wipe out the criminals before the militants suddenly developed cold feet. Were they not the ones saying they were ready to face Buratai's fury just two days ago cheesy?

So tell us which of the scAvengers requests will be granted; release of the albino monkey, release of Dasuki, or revocation of Danjuma's oil wells cheesy cheesy?

Abi Buhari will agree to reduce his Presidential power by restructuring the country just because some terrorists suddenly got scared of being rained with shells from above?

Lmao. The way you iPods set yourself up for disappointment should be a subject of medical research grin

Cynthia White killed NDA by exposing those behind the NDA .Since that day, I knew their game is up.
The federal government has secretly rounded up some of their members and apparently closing in on their top guns.
The Okah brothers have spill the beans and exposed the former president, Goodluck Jonathan even more.
What still amazes me is what can make a former president sink low as sponsoring young Ijaw men to bomb our national assets shocked
Government will never fall for their antics. All of them, including their political sponsors will be prosecuted for economic crimes and the murder of our innocent patriotic soldiers in Nembe

A usual zombie mindset believing everyone who's not ass..licking buboo is an ipob member.

Military has decided to wipe out criminals like they've been doing with Fulani terrorists and insecurity that pervades the land

The problem with your likes / buhari is that you think force is always the solution and that is why he keeps failing like he did during his botched military regime. His total disregard to Nigeria's diverse ethnicity will be his undoing unless he change.

A man who rode on the mantra of CHANGE but couldn't understand same word is synonymous with him for urgent need to change his attitude since 1984.

I'm sure you're not bipolar so stay on topic, the militants are the subject here and not herdsmen. You have failed to tell us which of the scAvengers requests will be granted; release of the albino monkey, release of Dasuki, or revocation of Danjuma's oil wells?

You support the scAvengers economic sabotage yet criticise President Buhari about the economy? What blithering smelly hypocrisy.

The fact is that the scAvengers sponsors have been named and further disclosures have been threatened which is the source of their sudden chicken heartedness.

Listen carefully; It's either the militants drop their arms and end their economic sabotage or get wiped out by brute force.

Let that sink in deep.

You don't get it. Time for diplomacy is over. The government has too much Intel on them and their political sponsors.
The Ijaw campaign doesn't even have the support of most of the Niger Delta like Itshekiri and co.
You probably think that we no longer have Nigerian patriots in the Land because of the nuisance some of you are creating on the social media

Another zombie clown on the loose. I bet you must be one those closet jihadists / Fulani terrorists like your grand patron.

So in your warped mind calling for diplomacy in handling ND crisis makes is now a crime

I am not NDA spokesperson so whatever their demand should be subject to the discussion with FG but most especially I believe a just and fair system to all is of utmost necessity for a united Nigeria.

It's only a fool that believes brute force as the solution to ND crisis.
