Super Crossover Lister Stealth: not a record, but devilish – 666 hp!

The British company Lister Motor Company, engaged in the release of replicas of classic Jaguar sports models and tuning modern ones, has presented the Stealth crossover based on the F-Pace SVR. Only 100 copies are slated to be released, priced from £ 109,950 each.

The modified Jaguar F-Pace SVR company Lister announced two years ago: then the project was called LFP and claimed the title of the world’s fastest crossover with a maximum speed of 322 km / h. The real car, named Stealth, turned out to be a little less fast – “only” 314 km / h “maximum speed” and 3.6 s to 60 mph (96.56 km / h). Lister Stealth does not pull the title of the most powerful crossover in the world, because in July of this year, the stock Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat debuted with a 720-horsepower engine, capable of gaining 60 mph in 2.5 s, and in the arsenal of overseas colleagues from Hennessey Performance there are 1217 “horses” under the hood.

But by European standards, the Lister Stealth is certainly cool and relatively inexpensive, because the original F-Pace SVR costs at least £ 75,375, and the 650-horsepower Lamborghini Urus and 635-horsepower Bentley Bentayga Speed ​​are 1.5 to two times more expensive.

The 5.0-liter compressor AJ-V8 in the Jaguar F-Pace SVR delivers maximum 550 hp. and 680 Nm, and after revision by Lister specialists – 675 hp. and 881 Nm. Recoil is increased with a modified supercharger, new intercooler, new air purification system and original engine management program. About any changes in the 8-speed hydro mechanical “automatic” is not reported.

Outside, the Stealth received new, more aggressive than the Jaguar, bumpers with carbon fiber elements, wheel arch linings and sills, original carbon fiber exhaust pipes and 23-inch Vossen forged wheels, through the openwork spokes of which you can see the modified brakes. The interior is refined in Nappa leather – 36 colors and 90 decorative stitching are available.

Lister gives a 7-year warranty on the Stealth crossover, but does not specify which components and assemblies it covers.

Porsche has declassified the “refreshed” Panamera: the new version of the Turbo S develops 630 hp

A version of the plug-in hybrid with the 4S E-Hybrid prefix to the name has appeared in the line of the sports “German”.

The Porsche Panamera has been in service for eleven years, the current second generation of the model was introduced in 2017. At the same time, the station wagon model with the Sport Turismo attachment entered the market. Sales of the model in Europe have dropped markedly over the past few years. So, last year, old-world dealers sold 8,436 copies, which is almost 11% less than in 2018. Now the manufacturer has declassified updated versions of its “five-door”.

Among the external differences from its predecessor, the new Panamera has a modified front bumper with integrated running lights, other taillights with an LED strip connecting them together, and a different tailgate. The previously available optional SportDesign package is now standard across the range. In addition, new versions of 20- and 21-inch “rollers” have appeared in the line of rims.

The cabin has a sports steering wheel with paddle shifters, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display is provided for the multimedia system. Options include satellite navigation, Wi-Fi hotspot, electric seat adjustment, etc. The already basic, redesigned Panamera features lane tracking and traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control and other safety-related systems.

In the course of restyling, the filling of the “regular” Panamera and Panamera 4 remained the same: this is a 2.9 hp twin-turbo six. with a return of 330 hp. (maximum torque – 450 Nm). In turn, the power of the 4.0-liter biturbo engine, which is installed under the hood of the Panamera GTS and GTS Sport Turismo, has increased from 460 to 480 hp. (the torque is the same – 620 Nm). These versions now spend 3.9 seconds to accelerate from zero to “hundreds” (instead of 4.1 seconds, as before), and their maximum speed is 300 km / h (before the update – 292 km / h).

In the Porsche Panamera lineup, a new version also appeared – Turbo S. It was equipped with an uprated 4.0-liter biturbo-eight with a return of 630 hp. (820 Nm). For comparison, its predecessor in the Turbo version, this engine produced 550 hp, and the torque was 770 Nm. A car in the Turbo S modification (in Sport Plus mode) gains the first “hundred” in just 3.1 seconds, while the current version with an increase in Turbo performs this exercise in 3.6 seconds. And the maximum speed increased to 315 km / h (it was 306 km / h).

Awaiting debut: Jeep unveils Grand Wagoneer SUV in new photos

The presentation of the concept of the new American brand will take place next Thursday, September 3. The company decided to stir up interest with the next batch of teasers.

The American company Jeep began producing the classic Wagoneer back in 1963: then it was one of the first civilian SUVs with the now familiar five-door body. Subsequently, the manufacturer modernized the car several times and changed its name: in the period from 1983 to 1991, the model was sold under the name Grand Wagoneer. Along with this, the name “Wagoneer” from 1983-1990 was used for the top-end performance of the Jeep Cherokee, and in 1992-1993 the most expensive version of the Grand Cherokee was called the Grand Wagoneer. Now the company, apparently, is reviving a separate Wagoneer model with its top version – the Grand Wagoneer.

It was assumed that new items will be presented a couple of years ago, but the Italian-American concern FCA, which owns the Jeep brand, postponed the debut. The company recently announced that the official premiere is scheduled for September 3. Later it was reported that only the concept of the luxury SUV Grand Wagoneer would be presented. We will see the commercial version later, it is expected that it will go on sale no earlier than the second half of next year.

Earlier, Jeep published several teasers of the future novelty, as well as a video that captured the silhouette of an SUV. The brand has now posted new photos of the Grand Wagoneer concept on its social media pages. But one of them is the view of the car from above. A translucent roof is visible, on which a map seems to be superimposed: in foreign media it is assumed that this is a map of Detroit (or its mirror version).

Judging by the picture, the landing formula of the luxury SUV is 2 + 2 + 3. The second row of seats is a pair of captain’s seats, between which is a wide console (it is slightly narrower than the one that separates the driver’s and front passenger’s seats). The third row is a sofa for three riders. The second teaser shows the interior decor of the concept SUV, showing the air vents as well as the front fascia, which is engraved with the silhouette of the car and the phrase “EST. 1963 “(a reference to the first classic Jeep Wagoneer).

The previously published pictures showed a part of the radiator grill of the future Jeep novelty: it will probably be a branded chrome “grill” consisting of seven sections. Also, FCA previously showed the engine start button in the cabin and the washer for controlling the multimedia system (presumably with a 12-inch touchscreen).

The recently updated Porsche Panamera will have even more powerful hardware

The output of the Turbo S E-Hybrid is expected to grow from the current 680 to 760 hp. The car will be presented in the near future.

The German company started production of the Panamera in 2009, the model of the current second generation was presented in 2017, and the Panamera station wagon appeared on the market in the same year: this “five-door” was given the Sport Turismo prefix to its name. Last week, the manufacturer revealed the updated liftback and shed, as well as a version of the plug-in hybrid, which received the 4S E-Hybrid prefix. Now it became known about the “stuffing” of another hybrid modification – Turbo S E-Hybrid.

According to the Australian edition Whichcar, which refers to one of the top managers of Porsche, Thomas Freemouth, the updated Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid will be shown soon – “within the next weeks or months.” Also, a Porsche representative noted that the power plant of the hybrid sedan and station wagon will undergo changes, but its “green” component – a 136-horsepower electric motor – will remain the same.

It is expected that the changes will affect the internal combustion engine, which underlies the hybrid power plant version of the Turbo S E-Hybrid. The current version has a 550-horsepower 4.0-liter gasoline turbo engine (total system output is 680 hp). However, during the Panamera update, this biturbo-eight was boosted to 630 hp. (it is equipped with the Turbo S version). Most likely, it will take the place of the 550-horsepower engine, including the hybrid version. According to preliminary data, in this case, the total output of the updated hybrid system will increase to about 760 hp.

Such a hybrid will probably not be faster than the “regular” Panamera Turbo S: despite the high recoil, it is still heavier. Recall that Turbo S, when driving in Sport Plus mode, accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in just 3.1 seconds, and its top speed is 315 km / h.

The new plug-in hybrid, the Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid, is based on a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 with 440 hp output. and all the same “electric weight” with a capacity of 136 hp. The system together produces 560 hp. This version takes 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h and has a top speed of 298 km / h. The power reserve when driving only on electric traction is 54 km (the calculation was carried out according to the WLTP cycle).
