WELL, GOD IS GREAT! I GOT MY ENTRY CLEARANCE ON MONDAY. I GOT THE TEXT ON FRIDAY, HAD TO WAIT TILL MONDAY TO PICK IT UP THAT WAS THE LONGEST 3 DAYS OF MY LIFE. BUT WHEN I GOT TO VFS, I PICKED UP MY PACKAGE, OPENED IT, SCANNED REAL QUICK FOR AN EXTRA CLEAN WHITE PAPER WHICH I DIDN'T ADD, IN THE PROCESS, I SAW MY VISA OPEN LIKE IT WAS FRESHLY STAMPED. I AM VERY HAPPY, AND I THANK GOD FOR FINALLY ANSWERING THAT FERVENT PRAYERS!

me (8/27/2010 7:05:59 AM): in my hotel room as we chat
me (8/27/2010 7:06:08 AM): should be submitting in 2 hours time or 3
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:06:52 AM): Why go all the way to Abuja just to submitt!
me (8/27/2010 7:07:03 AM): Because i live in the southeast.
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:07:42 AM): Oh,  Ic
me (8/27/2010 7:08:05 AM): Do u have any idea of someone go got their Visa for Bsc
me (8/27/2010 7:08:20 AM): i have been in the University for few years, i did not complete my studies
me (8/27/2010 7:08:28 AM): now i want to go for fresh Bsc
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:10:11 AM): As far as you have been given an admission offer, you have no problem, the only thing is for you to meet all the requirements for a visa
me (8/27/2010 7:10:20 AM): Credentials used for CAS (uncompleted UNI transcript) i also have it here.
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:11:19 AM): Was it stated in the CAS?
me (8/27/2010 7:11:33 AM): But dude, my real Transcript is below 3.0 GP
me (8/27/2010 7:11:55 AM): but the one i did myself to get admission is 3.5
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:12:05 AM): Are u telling me u used a fake transcript?
me (8/27/2010 7:12:32 AM): Transcript with upgraded results by me for Admission
me (8/27/2010 7:12:41 AM): Real Transcript for Visa Application
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:12:43 AM): Your chances of getting the visa is 30%
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:13:30 AM): Did your CAS include that you submit u transcript to BHC?
me (8/27/2010 7:14:00 AM): Stated on CAS (4 years transcript from the Federal University of Techonology)
me (8/27/2010 7:14:23 AM): transcripts take 2 months to get from my school
me (8/27/2010 7:14:28 AM): i had to make one to get admission
me (8/27/2010 7:14:32 AM): with all my real details
me (8/27/2010 7:14:39 AM): Reg number department, courses, etc
me (8/27/2010 7:14:49 AM): just the grades were guessed
me (8/27/2010 7:15:02 AM): Now it is visa time, i applied for transcript 2 months ago
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:15:09 AM): What u dont know is that BHC already has a copy of that transcript in their database. The CAS is an electronic document of your records
me (8/27/2010 7:15:11 AM): got the Original good one which is sealed yesterday
me (8/27/2010 7:15:25 AM): I spoke to my school yesterday
me (8/27/2010 7:15:35 AM): The University of Greenwich
me (8/27/2010 7:15:57 AM): i told them my trascript got burnt
me (8/27/2010 7:16:06 AM): the one i used for admission
me (8/27/2010 7:16:56 AM): and now i have a new one and it has a typographical error
me (8/27/2010 7:17:01 AM): on my grades
me (8/27/2010 7:17:06 AM): she said that is not a problem
me (8/27/2010 7:17:28 AM): they keep the original copies in school
me (8/27/2010 7:17:38 AM): and it is not on the CAS
me (8/27/2010 7:17:53 AM): So i can go ahead and use it
me (8/27/2010 7:20:01 AM): Are u there?
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:20:56 AM): Offcourse even if it got burnt and u got another one it should still be the same grades
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:20:57 AM): Just pray. But u should not have done, u could have waited till jan
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:21:12 AM): Or next year. What u did is a fraud, if u are detected u could be banned. Its not a good risk. U discuss with juswise privately about it
me (8/27/2010 7:21:22 AM): Noted
me (8/27/2010 7:21:34 AM): Do u have Justwise's phone number?
me (8/27/2010 7:22:06 AM): Are you 100% certain, that the Copies of the transcripts used for admission is uploaded on the CAS database, are you 100% Certain!?
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:24:20 AM): By God'a grace you will be granted ur entry clearance. Some people apply with fakes and they are granted entry clearance. You will be favoured. Dont worry,  Ok?
me (8/27/2010 7:24:58 AM): Ok, Thanks for your encouragement, i beleive this chat will be used for reference and hope for someone else one day.
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:25:10 AM): I'm not, but that is what I heard
femtopsy (8/27/2010 7:25:47 AM): Yes. Lets keep our fingers crossed.
[/b]

BUT WHAT MATTERS IS THAT I GOT IT, I SUBMITTED ALL THE DOCUMENTS REQUIRED PLUS VERY SERIOUS PRAYERS WITH MY FAMILY! THAT IS THE KEY! MY THANKS GOES TO JUSTWISE (WE EXCHANGED LOTS OF EMAILS), YUSUF (WHO ASSISTED ME OVER THE PHONE). PLUS EVERYONE WHO HAS BEEN POSTING THEIR EXPERIENCE. THIS IS MY FIRST POST ON THIS FORUM, PART OF MY PROMISE TO GOD WHEN HE GRANTS ME THE VISA. I WISH YOU ALL BEST OF LUCK, AND WANT TO REMIND YOU THAT GOD IS A MERCIFUL GOD, HE WILL GO IT FOR EVERYONE IN JESUS NAME, AMEN.

@segbas, did u use the micro finance bank account you've always talked about? That might be the reason for your refusal.
@umo77, If the money from the FD has been liquidated and it has stayed for up to the 28 days, I will suggest you use BCIE, it is free if you have a CAS and your school is registered with them (or may be not.) I didn't use them, but my friend failed the 28 days rule, when he got his refusal letter, he reapplied via BCIE free of charge, and after 4 working days he got it.

N/B: I paid my full school fees, had 2Mill in my account the day i printed my statement, 2 days later after application, i needed money badly and i took 200K, remaining 1.8 Mil which is still ok. I am not suggesting this for anyone, just trying to help some people deal with their fears, but don't ever withdraw below the required. (SORRY GUYS IT MIGHT BE THE LONGEST POST, BUT THATS WHAT I HAVE KEPT INSIDE TILL NOW, HAD TO UNLEASH THEM ALL, THANKS AND GOOD LUCK)

Please can anyone advice me on this:

To start with, I just finished my degree at the UoP and intend doing my msc at once. I already got my CAS as an alumi, the processing was really fast, my present entry clearance expires next month. I need to use my legal guardiance statement of account to extend my entry clearance in the U.K and he insisted I come down to get it, got the necessary court documents to back it up. Now I have the necessary documents and intend returning to U.K friday morning,

I'm just concerned about the UKBA officers at the airport, if they will delay me or not because my visa expires next month,  Can someone please clearify this??

Thanks a zillion  smiley

You got no problem at all, just print that CAS and all that necessary documents just incase you are asked, and come back here to apply, they will not deny you entry cos you got a very good case.

Hi

I want to know if anybody out there is, or has, experienced what I'm currently going through. Basically I submitted my application to VFS on the 16th of August, which makes it 26 working days as of today. While I know that the 15 working days stated on the collection slip is only approximate, I feel an extra 11 working days is pushing it.

After writing Abuja 2 weeks ago to ask about the status of my application, I received a reply stating they were making some checks in the UK and once they get the info they require they would make their decision. I wrote them the exact same mail 2 days ago and to my surprise, got the exact same reply yesterday!

Anybody else with a similar time frame, still waiting to collect their own passport?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by muami(m): 9:47am On Sep 23, 2010
@wazobia2
26 working days is unusually long. However, if you look at the guide to processing times, you would realize that a small percentage of student visas application can last for that long. By the way, why the checks in the UK? have you studied or stayed in the UK before of did you submit any document that originated from the UK?
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by wazobia2: 10:22am On Sep 23, 2010
@muami

Yes, I had my A-levels and Undergraduate studies there. I've also been to the UK as a visitor on a number of occasions after my studies. Due to certain logistics, the bulk of my money had to be placed in the bank account i still maintain the UK (which meant I submitted a UK bank statement), although a certain amount is also in my Nigerian bank account.

School resumes next week. Tick, tock,
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by muami(m): 10:28am On Sep 23, 2010
@ wazobia2
That would explain the delay then. I think they are awaiting confirmation from the UK bank. However, I think that is good news because it means your visa would be issued immediately the get the confirmation from the bank.I believe they would get it sorted out in time for you to resume.Best wishes.

Visa refused, sad
Eco was crazy, guess he missed his cup of coffee
Said my course was 3years instead of 60weeks as shown in CAS
Didn't see the money I paid for accomodation, also shwon clearly on the CAS letter
I went to pfl.they told me they told me they wud refer my case to one of their senior ogas to advice me cos the error is unbelievable
For now, enjoying naija,
told my sch.and scanned the refusal letter to them
They said they wil get back to me that someone is lookin into it
