This is just the point knowledgeable people are making. The Nigerian economy is NOT getting worse day by day. It is ignorance that is making you say this.
Maybe you don't have the experience or knowledge of modern production and service networks

The effect of any improvement is not immediate. It is not black magic . If you put an input into an improvement process you have to WAIT.

Nigerians have to get out of the STUPIDITY business.
Everything good takes time from prayers, to establishing a business, to re engineering a business, to diversifying an economy. Only Evil or destruction is immediate.

The major reason white supremacists look down on Africans is that we have a lovely for immediate gratification , just a little higher than animals . We need to change our mindset

The ND militants blowing pipes get immediate joyful gratification from it but the poverty will last at least 7 years.

How is it possible that militants are blowing up pipelines when strong man Buhari is president?
Maybe he is behind it sef to create diversion from his fumbling fumble. Who knows?

You get flour for house. You dey sell flour, you no gree buy oven. You dey bread from outside.

Flour price crash. Now your flour no dey bring money again. But you still need to chop bread. And your family size don increase well well.

The situation we are in is one the was caused due to lack of foresight. Nigerians are a very forgiving people. The whole millions of us dey share 4000Mw wey one airport for UK dey use.

Blame Buhari. Blame PDp.but the ultimate blame is on us who are being used by generations of evil and heartless pot-bellied politicians.
May God bless you for this post. Those heartless politicians are using us against each other and we fail to realise this. All what we know is to be abusing each other online like this. I have given up on Nigeria politicians d day i saw Aregbesola n Fayose in Gbongan inspecting together a project of Aregbe. But u and i will come here to be raining abuses on each other because of these set of wicked people. All of them are responsible for our present situation. All of them, all of them. I am not singling out any of them.

Even Sanusi is fellow Fulani knows Buhari is higly incompetent. When George . W Bush almost ruin the economy of America, we all know how job were been lost, protest etc within a year, Barrack Obama change the story without refering to George W bush. I remember he said ''This is our problem, together, we will make America great again''. As for you, am surprise people are taking you serious. You are one of the few i take serious on NL. And if you need any political enlightenment from me, you can inbox me anytime.

THE POSTPONED 'EVIL DAY' IS NOW HERE, BUT...

With the depletion in the country's incomes occasioned by the slide in global oil price coupled with the devilish militant activities in the Niger Delta area, ONLY a hypocrite will be surprised at the economic woes that have hit the country!

The confirmation by the National Bureau of Statistics that Nigeria's economy is now in downturn did not come as a surprise to me. From the days of my elementary Economics class, when we were told that the country was a mono-economy, I knew that this 'padded' reality would one day evaporate before our eyes.

Having willingly laid all our eggs in one basket for many years-and stupidly so-we ought to have anticipated this disaster. But we chose to play the Ostrich. We had sufficient notice of this avoidable calamity but we failed to make haste while the sun shone.

There is no amount of economic jargons, lamentations, criticisms or anger that will rescue the country from this SELF-INFLICTED pains other than economic diversification and prudent spending of the nation's earnings. Thankfully, the present administration has already set the motion in this regard. This effort should be sustained regardless...

I believe In Buhari/ APC!

If you have small sense in your head you would have known that the economy of a nation takes time to plan and build. Even a house needs plan.

You don't insult people cause they don't share the same opinion as you do. Have a nice day.

Don't mind the mofos.
Did Obama blame Bush for the economic crisis that he inherited or did he set about fixing it?
Anyway, an illiterate daft can't be compared to an educated intelligent person.

Yes Obama did. Many many times.
He blamed Bush for 1 trillion dollars Iraqi war. Obama was abused ten times more than Jonathan or Buhari for the state of the US economy by the republicans and he replied with criticisms of Bush and his father.

If you don't know something , don't bring it up.

There is also BULLWHIP effect.

Everybody knows the current state of any economy is the result of policies in the last 3.5 years. Elementary economics.

In the UK , the good and bad effects of BREXIT will start in 2019. Elementary economics

The most dangerous set of people in the world are those who don't take responsibility for mistake made. Such are usually unable to rectify problems because they don't accept they have done anything wrong in the first instance, so what do they need to correct then? It is this attitude that make apc and buhari very dangerous for the country. They are not people who accept responsibilities at all. They always looking for whom to blame.

We might need to emancipate ourselves from mental slavery. We need to make account for the millions of naira and dollars stolen by the last set of thieves. Just less than a thousand people, stole our common wealth. Since they are not convicted yet, we'll call them accused or suspects. Start from Deziani, through service chiefs, Orubebe, Metuh, Dasuki numerous others. It was reported a couple of days ago, that Seriake Dickson gave $1.6million to a guy who converted it to "his retirement benefit scheme". This shows that we have hundreds of million dollars still under peoples beds. Billions of dollars were shared by Dasuki. It was alleged that Tompolo had a trillion naira in a bank account. Asari Dokubo made so much money that he decided to invest in Bene Republic. Asari's (Nigerian) money is now trapped there. He is persona non grata. The Niger Delta Ijaws have made criminalty into a main profession. Nigerian economy is in recession. The military need to do their main job of taking care of these terrorists. Destroying oil infrastructure affects millions of Nigerians. That makes them TERRORISTS.

See the Result attached.

PDP asks Buhari to resign over economic crises What's your take?

Let this blame game stop. We all are directly or indirectly responsible for what is going on. Yes there was a Government before and hopefully there will be another after this. The issue is what is the way out of the doldrums and present predicament. Please lets proffer solutions and not argue on who is to blame

Kontinu
You're right. They know quite well that they have failed but just want to deflect responsibility on PDP, who have been out of power for 1+ years now.
Honestly this govt are not ready to lead. They are getting almost everything wrong. One of their biggest excuses for resorting to an outdated foreign exchange policy was because GEJ embezzled national reserve. For that reason they baned the flow of dollars going out of nigeria. Unfortunately for them, as they baned dollars from leaving the shores of Nigeria, they at the same time baned the flow of dollars coming into Nigeria. When dollars was not coming in, CBN became the only source of foreign exchange. In the end, they were choked out of forex. If they allowed free market forces to determined the price of forex early enough CBN won't have gone through all the stress of defending the naira by itself. Foriegn investors would have compliment their efforts in bringing in their foriegn exchange too. No foriegn investor will invest or bring in his money in an atmosphere were he cannot repatriate his earnings. APC govt want to eat their cake and have it in a world economy. That will not be tolerated by other economic players. When you restrict flow of dollars going out of your shores, same measure will be done unto you - pure and simple.
