There's no evidence of that, they met and invented this in 2004 after discussing together for hours, inspired by a previous discussion they had with other guests on a dinner table. Much of the success and Livewire of Cellulant at his early stages was in Nigeria, so much so that some foreign websites even say that it was founded in Nigeria. So without the Nigerian being involved as well as the Nigerian factor, Cellulant would definitely not be what it is today. This is the reason the Cellulant story has it's Nigerian story as the major part, and why Bolaji had to be given the platform to speak for long on how they started in Nigeria in that video.
Note that Bolaji himself once worked for the world bank.

Nigeria is 190M strong; Kenya is merely 48M; so you don't expect Kenya to have the same number of cities as Nigeria. Obviously you'd need to compare Nigeria with entire East Africa (Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda,TZ and Kenya) - total pop should roughly be equal to Nigeria or less - and you'll know East Africa has way more and bigger cities than Nigeria.

As far as Kenya goes - we have cities & towns - that though smaller - are more modern & liveable. You got mega slums. If Nigeria was half decent - you'd be talking of about 30 cities - real cities!

Precisely. South Africa which has solid GDP figures of around $300B - imports around $90-100B (and export more). Kenya which has GDP of around 70-80B - import around 17-20B. Nigeria which claims to have 400B GDP is struggling to import 30B (using official exchange rate) - otherwise if we use real exchange rate - we are talking 25B dollars - just about as much as we import .

This correlate with taxes - so you see it's not that Nigeria levy low taxes - there is simply NOTHING TO TAX. The economy has collapsed and whole country depend on the Oil industry & Dangote maybe - which is controlled by Shells & company.

Thankfully when somebody lands in Nairobi or Mombasa and wants to see what Kenyan slums look like, they have to request to be taken to Kibera. Meanwhile in Nigeria such things are non existent.............you land and you see a slum. You don't have to request to be taken anywhere.

Did you know that Lamu is older than both Kano and Ibadan? Did you know that some of these beautiful Lamu buildings are older than those Ibadan and Kano eyesores?

For Nigeria size of economy - allegedly - the amount of machinery+equipment+plant (Or maybe BUHARI-DANGOTE is manufacturing them now - they would need to import annually would be around 100B dollars - but right now they are struggling to import wheat+rice from the little that Shell-BP gives them (10-15$B) and whatever else the diaspora send(10-15$B). That is all there is in Nigeria economy - it's KAPUT.
