Tanzania launched their first aircraft the other day and Uganda is busy trying to revive their airline. Tanzanians though, were rather embarrassing launching one craft with a whole delegation of govt boarding just to sit down.
Kenya and Ethiopia are the leaders. Rwanda is well on course.
So who is this witch who jinxed west africa that they can never carry themselves? At least if you cant start an airline start shipline (not for migrants). West Africa is (in matters aviation) known for gruesome accidents.

Right, but im sure if they tried to revive it all that money would be siphoned.
Rwandair have proven to be masters of cheap quality flights. But they are heavily subsidized they would be making insane losses. Plus they are smart they are expanding mainly to West Africa for obvious reasons.

The only problem I have with neighboring countries is the love to copy and be like Kenya. S Sudan copied our flag now the Tanzanians have copied our airline logo ! All good though, when you see them copying you you know you inspire.

don't know about Nairobi but don't mention Accra Ghanaian officials have been understudying common Lagos BRT for over 6years, they couldn't launch it till today, light rail should be far-fetched.
