Tayser Tayser l have no time for this, my point has been made clear, while malls can be easily used to gauge a favourable middle class(it's not the major indices like you Kenyans would have yourselves believe here), the number of malls in a city do not necessarily indicate it's development because malls are already the normal way of life in Europe and the advanced world but some parts of Europe are not as classy as some areas of Nigeria with fewer malls. Neither do those parts have more classy citizens as well.
l never said the markets in Nigeria are( or must be) dirty and crowded, my point was that at 3a.m, the city is still buzzing, l know you have a problem with comprehension. l also do not think Kenyans have a more sophisticated middle class than you find in Nigeria. But the fact that you measure this with the taste for shopping malls( which is not a big deal) is what l find interesting, if anything that's a primitive mentality/ thinking.
Malls are not scarce in Nigeria too, they are not just used in the context of this arguement as a measure of development. l have seen on this website, private investors setting up malls, but it is never viewed as a sign of advancement, when you see it that way you come across to me as primitive. This is why when you list shoprite and the likes as major businesses, it's quiet weird.

Second fact kenya(50B) has less debt than Nigeria(70B) - and has more ability to repay(revenues).We are spending about 27% of our revenue to repay debt. That is very healthy.

Start thinking INTEREST PAYMENT VERSUS REVENUE - and you'll know you're more indebted than Kenya. GDP is nothing if it's cooked.
