There's a nigerian dish with eggplant / aubergine and tomatoes , the eggplant has to be peeled and is then mashed with the tomatoes, does anyone know what this dish is? perhaps its a regional one, and if so the person i want to cook it for is from edo state

I know the dish, very tasty. If I remember correctly wat u do is boil the garden eggs whole once they are softened mash them into a paste then use the paste to prepare a stew like normal. add seasoning to ur taste.
