I know Whatsapp is only threatening non-Apple users with withdrawal tactics, but let's assume they meant it.

I have gathered some groups of programmers and we're working on an app called TAPme

TAPme will have same functions as Whatsapp with videos call as an upgrade. TAPme will be free, but the video call version will be a paid version. There'll be other features to make it better than Whatsapp. We'll be minding our steps not to plagiarize Whatsapp to avoid lawsuit.

I called my good friends (back in school) a Chinese guy and an Indian guy for help. They're good with app development. I'm more into computer networking than programming. I don't like doing everything myself when I have people who can do it for me.

The suggestions is to buy a source code and modify it to suit the TAPme requirements.

I'm making this initiative public for a reason. It's to inspire others too. Anyone who wants to hijack it should go ahead.

By God's grace, January next year will determine how far we've gone with TAPme.

So, get ready to be saying:

• Do you use TAPme? Instead of do you use Whatsapp?

• Give me your TAPme number, instead of give me your Whatsapp number.

• When you get home just TAPme, instead of: When you get home just Whatsapp me.

The name of the app may change, but for now TAPme is the name.

Google is on Allo, Zuckerberg is on Whatsapp, but WE are on TAPme
