You're paying for the brand. Apple is a 'premium brand'. The brand is what seperates the price of a 'samsung' and 'tecno', even when the components are most likely manufactured by the same OEM manufacturer in china.

why bothering yourself? Na by force to buy? Why is the cost of buying land or house at VGC/ Lekki/ VI more expensive than some other parts of Lagos state? You call that waste too? You may see it as CLASS but truly, it's comfort and happiness when you can afford it.

Factor in shipping cost, various taxes, labour costs ,r&d cost a fortune and hey apple has to make a profit to enable it hire the best software engineers, marketers etc

personally I don't have the capacity to buy this iPhone but why didn't you incorporate the price of designing software for it and logistics. or do you think those things are done using excel workbook.
