THE ARREST
9th May, 2014. It was a cold friday morning, laying on the bed were five guys (Obiora, Izuchukwu, Henry, Oqui and I ) in positions which gave the scene a scenario that a gay orgy had taken place the previous night. I was still fast asleep when I heard a thud, my orientation was a little distorted then was the sound again, like someone was trying to either break down my door or force me out of bed by past 6; must be my psycho neighbor Faith or some sex-starved lodge mate who wants to pick up their phone they let to charge last night. I reluctantly opened the door and saw a shockingly handsome light skinned guy (should be in his late twenties) with a double barrel accompanied by two policemen looking like S.W.A.T armed to the teeth except they didn't have a nose mask on. Oh yeah?! shit just got real, I was about to go Bruce Lee on this niggaz and make it for  the window, Bleep! My window has a burglary proof I had go to Mike not Tyson and act smooth criminal on these popo. He stepped in, had this annoying Christiano Ronaldo's smirk on him (something my friend Obiora does when bitches begin to talk to him about how cute he was cos of his grey eyes) was like don't I know who he is? TF should I know, I've banged chicks whose real name I don't know or can't recognize an hour later. Introduced himself as the school anti-cult, what these Mofo don't know I've been trained by Jet Li *movies* since I was 7, I could take on all three in less than 5 seconds. Bang! Did I forget to mention that I have an overactive imagination? Back to my story, well they demanded for my phones and laptop which I gave to them, and they took me in without reading the miranda, showing me an arrest warrant or telling me what am being charged with.

As I was escorted out of my lodge in cuffs, I could hear murmuring and feel the piercing judging eyes of my lodge-mate condemning me already for crime/crimes I have no fore knowledge of. Lord knows what stories might be brewing now on the darting tongues of gossips (my friends have had a fair share, Obiora  owns more condoms that shoprite, Dude what are you trying to do; Bleep an army?!. Izu is a man-LovePeddler, Henry was guy who never makes it out of the friendzone with any girl, cool and nice opening but this nigga never closes*ok I'm going to go out of my way and place a free a advert for Henry. Ladies, he is loquacious so u don't have to worry about what to say, he'll do all the talking, got a dick the size of a toothbrush for you ladies who think size isn't everything and I know what y'all are thinking.. Ok I've not actually seen it but I did see him in a swimming trunk once. Please any lady feeling like doing some charity work -helping the needy? He seriously need to get laid before his 18th birthday*. Oqui on the other hand has profoundly bad choices in women). Everyone was peeping through the window and balcony to get a glance of what's going on. Two policemen were stationed outside, one at the gate and the other at the entrance with their fingers on the trigger in a military stance which suggested that they've been giving the order to shoot on sight if things should go south. "Emma, wetin dey happen?" asked Onyeka the lodge president, I looked up a gave a weak smile and relied "I dunno" trying to sound as strong as possible. As we approached the police van parked out side, I noticed two other people were seated in the back Chucks and Diogor. I got in and Chuks narrated how he was arrested the previous night and Diogor this morning. Both Chuks and Diogor are both course mate and I have known them since their first year.

We drove to another lodge where we picked up another guy and headed for the station.

We arrived at the state C.I.D station and were all taken to the counter. And was asked to UnCloth and make a statement of our possessions in their custody. After which we were led to the cell, I still didn't know why I was being detained. The stink in air, stickiness of the walls, filthy floor, groans and agony reverberated throughout the cell. The stench of blood, sweat and tears eloped the room and for the first time in my life I felt true fear. Finally Chuks spilled the beans said we were arrested for the murder of Onyinye, So I'm looking at 25 years to Life for manslaughter. The last time I saw Onyinye was two night before I was arrested and I broke her that night. That she had must have passed out after sex, there's no way I'm telling anybody that. My dad might have given me a handshake c'mon it's not everyday a girl gets to die from sex with a guy, more often than not it's always the other way around (expect for Izu, a girl fainted while having sex with him and I'm not making this shit up) but it would break my poor mum's heart. Not quite long, Obiora and Izu showed up at the station to know what's going on. So I lied, told them that it was a kidnapping case, -kidnapping issues carried a capital punishment, plus it does have a certain ring to it. Shortly after they left, some men from the SSS came and took us. The most humiliating part was that I was tied with my belt and not handcuff and riding in the back of the seat with nothing on but my boxers. I looked outside the window trying to get distracted by the beauty of the city but all I could think of was that in a week from now I'm suppose to be writing my degree exams, five years of studying and sorting, all about to been thrown away on the eve of graduation...

The Sequel: Jail



Owerri was about 45mins drive from my school but it seem Cronius chose this particular day to mess with the space time continuum. Are we there yet? Every minute felt like a hour, We finally arrived at the SSS HQ, the secret service men dismount the van, took us in, and left us behind the counter. Sweats had just began to break from my skin, I would spend the rest or majority of my life in jail. With the rest of vermin of the society, after what seem like an hour or more three men stepped in who identified themselves as the Commander, IPO i.e Intelligent Police Officer and a Detective. They took Chucks and Diogor in for questioning, deep down I knew it was going to involve the use of Advance Interrogation Technique. Not long after, I could hear their screams; like a wounded animal being cornered I curled up withdrawing into my head. Screaming on top of their voices the intensity increased, that alone broke my spirit, suddenly I lost any will to live. I soon began to imagine all sorts of things perhaps they were using pliers to put out their nails or it could be an electric chair or stun gun but no matter what my mind could come up with, none was either comforting or soothing. Criminals where paraded in and out of the compound, it's ironical that a child born with innocence into the world would turn out to be a terror, was it fate or free will? Was it inscribed in their DNA, was it all part of the design of the grand plan of the Creator? My thoughts were like Lagos rush-hour soon I was stuck on a memories as my brain flashed back to the night with Onyinye.

This was supposed to be my final chapter to the previous stories, The Arrest and Jail. I had initially written the triology in 2014 but didn't really like the final piece and I didn't save it. So I'm rewriting it with an additional chapter... oops did I fail to mention I actually accidentally BC'ed the erotic part to the mum of one of the Characters in my story, the reaction tho... 'This why you should never have 'Families' on social media.' I was going to say I'm writing this due to popular demand just to stroke my ego -I'm actually writing this as a deal i made with a friend (I like to call "The Miracle of New year Eve" made a wager if I complete the story she'd have to pick up singing which is a dream for her but she had embarrassed herself infront of a Mass choir when she was Thirteen and I guess scared for life. Don't get it twisted she has a cracked voice but her strong vocals resonates something within my soul reminds me of Sia and I asked she listen to Sia Bird Set Free wishing she gets the subtle message imbedded in the song(voice) and lyrics. The Break
I was held behind the counter, was not allowed to stand or stretch my legs. The Commander came back with an officer and was busy playing Good cop Bad cop. All I could think of was I would share the same bathroom with strangers; what if I drop the soap?! Chuks and Diogo had rejoined us. I was called upon, I stood up and followed the officer to the side of the building where he order me to sit on the floor, I complied without resistance or hesitation.
