Nigeria is not a banana republic, there are procedures. Buhari was accused of Waec forgery yet he was allowed to contest and win elections!!!! His case was still in court and he was assumed innocent (even though we all know he is as guilty as hell). The rule of the law is supreme.

There is no evidence to prove those judges are corrupt.Even when a judge misbehaves the proper thing to do is to go through the NJC

We can pretend to practice democracy but it is the corrupt judges who collect money to decide who rule us and this should not be allowed to continue. Nigeria needs a president who would not be afraid to take on the corrupt judicial officers.

for this matter to have proper context, the DSS should tell Nigerians the people that gave the bribe & for what cases.

this will enable us know those who use their wealth to subvert the course of justice so that they too will be properly shamed (since we are now in the era of media trial)

& to let us know those cases/judgements that were corruptly induced so that they can be reviewed appropriately.

blanket accusations will not work.

some of these judges might be into other businesses which might contravene the PSR.

What is this one saying?
If they think their colleagues are innocent, they should come and adjudged them innocent and penalise DSS. Not to start dodging. Or are they saying judges are above the law? Then we're finished as a people.

But the executive is not corruption? So many reports have been written about people around Buhari but we don't see DSS breaking down doors. This judges that were arrested must be taken to the court for trial but the fg wouldn't get the trial they want if they continue this way.

One of the lawyers who spoke to journalists, Princewell Ebubedike berated the action of the judges saying it would amount to aiding and abetting corruption in the judiciary, which is the last hope of the common man, thereby eroding public confidence in the justice system. He condemned the manner in which the security agents made their arrests without proper recourse to procedure.

God bless princewell who means well ... we know judges like him will sentence corrupt judges to where they belong.
princewell Ebubedike is a very stupid man.

Who noticed that DSS did not display the money they allegedly recovered from the Judges. This is unlike DSS, may be there was no money anywhere self but a huge imaginary figure to keep some people busy.

I don't know that the fight against corruption is only against politicians, that Judiciary has immunity.useless micro finance Judges.when a poor man is harassed and drag to their court,he's sentenced without delay but if it's a money bag the story is different .i pity for poor Nigerians that don't stand with poor but once a rich man is made to face what the ordinary man faces, the same ordinary Nigerians starts shouting foul.DSS,go after anybody,I with you, help them understand what we face as ordinary Nigerians.Human right my foot

Did you read Wole Olanipekun SAN interview? Lawyers representing people in court know how to frustrate trial especially when the clients can pay. This is a common practice all over the world and the judges can only judge on facts presented by the defence or prosecution team and not what they read on newspapers. This is no fault of judges.

I'm not a fan of the Daura slow poke, but I think the processes of diplomacy and so called rule of law is too slow, and hence allows these corrupt elite far too much space and time to evade the law and continue in their plunder of our common wealth.

Big ups to the Daura Secret Service

No matter how corrupt our law makers are, one thing is certain...the presidency can never rubber stamp them. For some reason they always elect leaders outside of the executive anointed candidates. I read alot of comments here and cant help but laugh at the level of naivety expressed out of hatred or sentiments?
Yes the government may have been a tad bit extreme in the way it went about arresting these corrupt judges.
But who can say he or she doesn't know that 99% of cases concerning elections, fraud, and human right abuses have not been ridiculous since 1999?
You would see a politician like Saraki or Tinubu get accused of fraud with clear facts yet the cases would eventually be treated like any other regular everyday case and the accused party always goes Scott free except he or she has earned the wrath of the government previously.

How do we grow as a country then? How?
Before alot of you start saying why didn't he follow due process...remember if he does these same judges will influence the outcome.
Lets all be 100% HONEST Nigeria CAN NOT BE PURGED OF CORRUPTION IF WE FOLLOW THE REGULAR CHANNELS
And you all know this:
The police os corrupt
The army , airforce and navy are corrupt
The DSS is corrupt
The FRSC is corrupt
The NDLEA is corrupt
The Customs is corrupt
The Fire service is Corrupt
The Doctors are corrupt
Teachers are corrupt
The Pastors are corrupt
The Layers and Judges are corrupt
The EFCC is corrupt
i could go on and on! And we all know this to be true! So when you have every arm of governance corrupt how do you honestly persecute the head of any of these firms and think one would get a correct response?

I honestly feel for Buhari.
How do we grow as a country when everywhere you turn you meet stumbling blocks to change? Do we all give up and wait till a foreign power decides to invade us to kills us off and take over our resources? Or do we use unique measures to try to tackle the crippling corruption?

The truth is, outside of radical moves like this that Buhari is using the only way out would be to revert to Military rule and let them execute the corrupt politicians. But then you would see United Nations Nato and such threaten to invade us and try the Military president for war crimes.
The honest harsh truth is Buharis radical approach is the best we have for now.

If you say no let him resign and honest people run for political positions, i say to you do you think these corrupt cabals will allow an honest person work? Look at Okonjo Iweala, see how GEJ strangled her till she couldnt work! her mum was mysteriously kidnapped and remember after her mum was also mysteriously found she totally stopped criticizing the buffoon and started doing all she was told, it doesn't take a genius to know what happened there.

if truly APC ( another Poverty's coming ) or whatever u called ya self claims to be fighting corrupt judges, what happens to those judges that declared yahaya bello winner of kogi election right from state high court to appeal court and unto supreme court. what happens to the chief of army staff owning two mansions in uae and at the same time some generals are being dropped out of the job for the same corrupt casses. is it because they are not Northerner's or in apc ? I am not supporting corruption but what is good for the APC is also good for d PDP . if APC is a saint when it comes to corruption then let PDP n any other party be saints also.
