The latest FIFA women’s rankings are out! Consequently, the top 6 teams will join World Cup co-hosts, Australia and New Zealand, as top seeds for the October 22 World Cup draw.

Congrats to the Republic of Ireland on qualifying for the World Cup. This is also the first time the team has qualified for a major tournament. They are the 29th team to qualify for next year’s edition, and the 41st different team to ever advance to the competition.

Shouldn't be an excuse for the incoming leadership, it will be a sign of gross ineptitude if they claim total ignorance.

I saw this on Twitter yesterday and wondered, how exactly the sponsorship money the NFF claimed to have gotten in Pinnick's 8 years was expended.

How do we allow administrators room for such unaccountability?

The new board is already talking about cost cutting measures in lieu with th economic realities of today. The players will sadly bear the brunt.

Can someone close to the u-17 team ask them to "collect" thier phones? Maybe "collect" is rather too dramatic, but reading thier posts on twitter after every game leaves a bitter taste.

Almost every member of the team does it, and I'm here thinking you guys are supposed to be playing a u-17 championship. It's developmental for God's sakes and there shouldn't be pressure to "win at all cost" or "expresses regret" when you loose. Post pictures sometimes but be the "kids" you are supposed to be.

You don't get it, do you, Majority of Nff sponsors are locals, Even Flight spons6with Air peace, It's just that, Air Peace slash the price greatly for local and continents flight, And it's applicable to their Routes covered

Besides the new president was part of the former, So he should hit the ground Running

Very happy with these moves. Fantastic.

They join Chiamaka Nnadozie in the French D1 Arkema/Feminines. Exciting.

Nice to see they have already done their first full session with the group ahead of the next Matchday. Straight into action.

How does sponsorship being local explain the financial irresponsibility of the NFF?

The debts listed pretty much covers a large chunk of the NFF's financial obligations. So if they have this much backlog, what exactly are they doing with all th funds they got Vis a Vis funds they receive from the federal government.

The new board has "hit the ground running" as it were hence this disclosure. They went further to express the need for financial prudence as this will largely dictate their policy moving forward. Of course the new NFF president is culpable as he was a part of the last board, even though we know the NFF is largely a one man show (and shouldn't be).

Exchange rate my guy, it impacts nega8on the local sponsorship, I.e, Air peace sponsoring the SE for 5 years at 500million naira, Do the maths, and Convert same to Dollars, But, bear in mind, it's 100m per year

Again The sport Ministry had not been forthcoming in releasing Funds, From Dalung, now Dare, And correct me, wasn't it Dare that said the mini9will take care of SE coaches salaries

That their red card is still doing me some kind of way. The referee was on the spot and she gave a yellow so why the need of VAR? Plus that was their best player.
Oh...I didn't watch the match. So they're also a victim of another questionable decision?... Na wa o
