Straight from winning the U20 Women's WC to bagging a hattrick on your senior debut. Na wa.

She is Oshoala's likely successor at Barca for the long run.

Germany played without most of their regular starters against the US…

They played without their regular midfielders… Dzennifer Marozan, Melanie Leupolz , Sara Dabrinz, Lena Oberdorf..
Huth who’s one of their Senior player and a regular striker from the Flank was on the Bench..

Two of their starting Center Backs Hendrich and co didn’t even start and they still defeated the USWNT…

I think it’s high time, we stop using unavailability of some of our regular starters as excuse, Coach Randy is a Big time flop

Congratulations to Bayelsa queens... They actually played good football..They dominated all the games they played in.. Scoring goals and defensive blunders was their problem.. Hopefully they work on it and win the league and come back stronger....

Are you suggesting we pack any group of players and go play a team like USA, and expect to win just because Germany did and succeeded?

Not at all, My saying is that with the unavailability of some of the key players we shouldn’t be losing at such margin… like the 4nil..

They available one should be able to hold their against any team and give the regulars that were absent a run for their spot..

She’s a Professional Goalkeeper not a training goalkeeper or a Goalkeeper Coach at her Club in France..

French goalkeeper Maryne Gignoux Soulier is the Club first choice and it’s seems Yewande haven’t been able to beat her to the Starting spot..

Again Yewande might be a better goalkeeper but since the Coach already found favour in Maryne he might not want to change goalkeeper…

And if Yewande get the chance to be between the stick she might take her chance from there..

Is Morocco fast becoming our nemesis in female football?

Yes!! The Moroccans, unlike Nigerians, have learnt the basic form of soccer. Most Nigerians players foolishly jog onto the field with sole aim of being the goal scorer.

The downfall of USWNT started the moment the team embraced "WOKEISM".

May be, but it's just a small part.

A lot of football experts world over always knew this day was coming. The day Europeans start taking women's football more seriously.
You'll notice the trend that it's only the European teams that's been beating them. They still easily walk past the other non European teams.

The world cup they won in 2019 will be the last one they'll win in a long time. Starting from next edition, the Europeans will take turn in. rotating it among themselves. The likes of Sweden, England, An hungry Spain, Germany are all presently so good with good youth system producing talents. Look at Spain Recently winning U17 and U20 world cup, U20 Euros, runner up in the U17 euro, all in 1 year, Churning out talented players that are even rivalring the senior players. Even when the likes of Putellas, Aitana etc retires in future, the already have ready made teams to take over and continue the job or even be better.

Same with England who has a lot of talented youngsters coming up too.

USA aren't smelling the top any time soon

I learnt that the Moroccan F.A implemented a 4 year program (2020-2024) for female football and it is expected that at least 100,000 female footballers are discovered with in this period.

What has the sports federation and NFF done to improve female football in Nigeria in the last 8 years?.
This is just the beginning of our nemesis in female football as other African countries have started closing up the gap on Nigeria.

In Nigeria,we hardly plan..... Fire brigade approach na our way...
The ministry of sport and the NFF recently unveiled a 10 years football plan when they visited Buhari a few months ago... The contents of that plan,I don't think have been made public

Paperwork without implementation.
See what the Moroccans have achieved within a few years.
Lots of young girls now in Morocco are now aspiring to be footballers. The last women nations cup points to the fact that female football has been fully embraced as regards the turnout in stadias where football matches took place.
In a documentary I saw today, men, materials, money and machinery have been put in place to ensure that their plan is implemented and achieved.
The super falcons and bayelsa queens suffered defeat in the hands of the Moroccans within a year.

We better get our acts right.
The wide gap between Nigeria and other African countries in women football has been closed.

Always going back to the drawing board when the board itself has no place for anything else to be written or drawn.

Mamelodi Sundowns just got whopped 4-0 by the ASFAR team, right in front of Mosepe who owns Mamelodi Sundowns.
Nigeria needs to get their sh!t together if they really want to make an impact on the continent.

Get a properly funded league in play or else, Nigeria will be left behind. Morocco's investment and 4 year roadmap just paid off.

I didn't expect the scoreline. Tagnaout na Baller. Once given expression, she causes damage. Sundowns definitely underrated them. Forgetting their defence is not all that alert and Dlamini too. Bawou of Bayelsa Queens had more saves and got more shots than Dlamini. Khadija too. I fear for Dlamini at the WWC cos she got colet shot taya.

Morocco deserve their win. You can't plan football with a serious project and not start seeing results.

Sometimes, i kinda feel like their closeness to Spain is rubbing off on them in terms of female football policies.

They've earned their gems. Just that they aren't invincible. We bossed them but couldn't capitalize. Phew. Imagine we are half as serious as they are.

Nigerian sports in general needs a complete revamp. Until there's is near complete departure of government's involvement in our sports we really will just go in circles.

We sadly can't draw parallels with nations like Morocco, who though have government largely formulating and implementing policies, also have a system of accountability that puts everyone in check.

In Nigeria however, government's involvement shapes perception, the first being that anything goes. It also discourages private sector investment as no one wants to associate with government initiatives that are as unstable as waters.

Someone with privy information recently shared why multichoice backed out of airing the Nigerian league, and it just a show of shame.

Let government hands of sports almost entirely, let those who vie for administrative positions go source for funds to run them. Just as we have seen progress in other strata of entertainment including music, movies, the comedy industry etc with no government funding, sports will take a different turn if government can just leave it alone.

We are not just serious as a people.

Asides from positioning us better to compete favourably at the world stage, and the pride that comes with winning, can you imagine the economic implication of having a well planned and structured league?

We are talking of thousands of jobs just in the surface. It's just crazy how myopic our administrators are.

Leave am nah , make he dey drag waldrum for everything, have we ever make any statement on the world stage? are we beating USA before waldrum? Japan ? Norway? Germany? Australia? Did we ever come close to beating any of this team on the world stage? How many of our players even play in the champions league properly? we have 2 world world class players Oshoala and Nnadozie and couples above average players and we think we have the best squad in the world, we don't even have a football blueprint right now
