Myde4naija:Question: "Is Jesus God? Did Jesus ever claim to be God?" Answer: The Bible never records Jesus saying the precise words, “I am God.” That does not mean, however, that He did not proclaim that He is God. Take for example Jesus’ words in John 10:30, “I and the Father are one.” We need only to look at the Jews’ reaction to His statement to know He was claiming to be God. They tried to stone Him for this very reason: “You, a mere man, claim to be God” (John 10:33). The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity. When Jesus declared, “I and the Father are one,” He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence. John 8:58 is another example. Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth … before Abraham was born, I am!” Jews who heard this statement responded by taking up stones to kill Him for blasphemy, as the Mosaic Law commanded (Leviticus 24:16). John reiterates the concept of Jesus’ deity: “The Word [Jesus] was God” and “the Word became flesh” (John 1:1, 14). These verses clearly indicate that Jesus is God in the flesh. Acts 20:28 tells us, “Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.” Who bought the church with His own blood? Jesus Christ. And this same verse declares that God purchased His church with His own blood. Therefore, Jesus is God! Thomas the disciple declared concerning Jesus, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28). Jesus does not correct him. Titus 2:13 encourages us to wait for the coming of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ (see also 2 Peter 1:1). In Hebrews 1:8, the Father declares of Jesus, “But about the Son he says, ‘Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.’” The Father refers to Jesus as “O God,” indicating that Jesus is indeed God. In Revelation, an angel instructed the apostle John to only worship God (Revelation 19:10). Several times in Scripture Jesus receives worship (Matthew 2:11; 14:33; 28:9, 17; Luke 24:52; John 9:38). He never rebukes people for worshiping Him. If Jesus were not God, He would have told people to not worship Him, just as the angel in Revelation did. There are many other passages of Scripture that argue for Jesus’ deity. The most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that, if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world (1 John 2:2). A created being, which Jesus would be if He were not God, could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God. Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world (2 Corinthians 5:21), die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death. 1 Like 1 Share |

Bigboss111:Yes. Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?” They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.” “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.” Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him. 1 Like |

Secondly you claim that he is now sitting at the right hand of GoD, do you listen to yourself? But you guys claim that he is God.. How can someone be Three in One? Elfaris:I never mentioned anywhere that Jesus is God. God is the Almighty creator and Jesus is His Son; the divine birth of Jesus confirm that Jesus is the son of God. Again, can you know a house more than its owner? You cannot know christianity more than christians, don't deceive yourself or allow anybody to deceive you, Jesus actually was crucified and rose from the dead. Please freely do your research about this and not rely on what an anti christ came to write about Jesus 500 years later. Come to think of it, your religion book was written by just one man Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), do you really think he can be more correct than those that were leaving witness of Jesus Christ that wrote the bible. Moses, David, Isaiah and others wrote and prophesy the coming of christ and death of christ. |

Edifyer:Why do you guys think Jesus was talking about Muhammad when He said he would send the Spirit of Truth? So if God sent Muhammad, and Jesus said He will send the Spirit of Truth or the Comforter, doesn't that mean Jesus is God? Because he said HE will send... Now let me ask you a simple question. If Jesus preached Islam, how come His disciples got a different message and started preaching something different? Doesnt that mean Jesus was a failure? What did He ultimately accomplish, when His own followers carried a wrong message to the world. And remember that Jesus picked these followers Himself meaning that Jesus had terrible Judgement. Why did they all prat in the name of Jesus? And finally why did God have to wait 600 years to correct this message through a man in another geography entirely? If you can answer these questions logically, I will appreciate. 1 Like |

tintingz:. [b][size=11pt] ...well let me just educate u, comforter is not anyway related to your muhamed, the first place JESUS promise us comforter is John chapter 14 v 16 which says: And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that [color=#990000]he may abide with you for ever; ...if your muhamed was the "promised comforter" where is he today? 2: You people base your believe or your faith on a single verse from the numerous words of Jesus without considering others from the same passage, before Jesus says he will send the comforter in verse 16 in the same chapter 14, ( which your Islamic clerics misquoted or misunderstood) look at the verse 6 John 14:6 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ....now let's assume Jesus says he will send your Muhammad (which it's not so) then how come u believe this and you people refuse the earlier statement made from the same chapter? JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD ACCEPT HIM TODAY TO ESCAPE FROM ETENAL DAMNATION JOHN 3 V 16 -18 [/color][/][size][/b] |

cutekhalifa: I know u are a Jehovah Witness member. I will not bother to take you on Jesus. I know He is God and anyone that have Holy Spirit as his or her teacher has no problem in understanding bible. Know that Holy Spirit is not a force. Bible recorded it that Holy Spirit is God, Teacher and Comforter. Get it right so that you can permit Him to live in and with you as your God, Teacher, Comforter and Counselor. Check this scripture verses. Acts 5:3-4 3.But Peter said, Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart that you should lie to and attempt to deceive the Holy Spirit, and should [in violation of your promise] withdraw secretly and appropriate to your own use part of the price from the sale of the land? 4 As long as it remained unsold, was it not still your own? And [even] after it was sold, was not [the money] at your disposal and under your control? Why then, is it that you have proposed and purposed in your heart to do this thing? [How could you have the heart to do such a deed?] You have not [simply] lied to men [playing false and showing yourself utterly deceitful] but to God. John 15:16 16. But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me. John 16:12-15 12 I have still many things to say to you, but you are not able to bear them or to take them upon you or to grasp them now. 13 But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. 14 He will honor and glorify Me, because He will take of (receive, draw upon) what is Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. 15 Everything that the Father has is Mine. That is what I meant when I said that He [the Spirit] will take the things that are Mine and will reveal (declare, disclose, transmit) it to you. I know you are a member of Jehovah Witness. Bible recorded it that Holy Spirit is God, Teacher and Comforter. But u called Him a force. Check this scripture verses and allow light of God in you now.Acts 5:3 Then Peter said, Ananias, why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back |

yunafa: My sister, even the devil believe in Jesus. FALSE prophet and teachers believe in Jesus. Do you believe in His word? Do you believe in Him that you cannot get to God except through Him. John 14:6 Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." See what Jesus said again. Have you obeyed it. Matt.11:25-30 25 At that time Jesus began to say, I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth [and [h] I acknowledge openly and joyfully to Your honor], that You have hidden these things from the wise and clever and learned, and revealed them to babies [to the [i] childish, untaught, and unskilled]. 26 Yes, Father, [I praise You that] such was Your gracious will and good pleasure. 27 All things have been entrusted and delivered to Me by My Father; and no one [j] fully knows and [k] accurately understands the Son except the Father, and no one [l] fully knows and [m] accurately understands the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son [n] deliberately wills to make Him known. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will [o] ease and relieve and [p] refresh [q] your souls.] 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest ( [r] relief and ease and refreshment and [s] recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. (E) 30 For My yoke is wholesome (useful, [t] good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. |

marrazy:Jesus is more unique than Adam. Through Adam, sin came into the world, you know the story. But true Jesus christ came forgiveness of sins. Adam disobeyed God's command by eating the forbidden fruit and was driven out of the Garden of Eden. Jesus never sinned or disobeyed God, he died for the remission of sin, resurrected and his coming back to Judge the world. Adam is not even in the future plan of God since his death. There is no basis for comparison between Adam and Christ. |

Jesus said if you love me keep my commandments. What are His commandments? Love God with all your heart soul and might. And this is not possible unless you surrender to Him and accept Him as Lord and saviour. John 1:12 For as many that receive Him, to them He gives power to become sons of God |
