newbornmacho:First, there is no govt, even in advanced democracies, without presence of a cabal. Who constitutes the cabal is determined by the president. If Aisha was allowed the influence she craves and become a powerful go-to person will she have come out to do this "service to the nation?" I wait for your answer. 12 Likes |

Passing shot, may God continue to bless you for this wonderful piece. I careless about what disgruntled elements on this forum have been saying or will eventually say, but what people like you, modath, seunmsg, omenka, fulanimafia, quota system etc say is something I take very serious and with great concern. I even thought I was the only person who finds Aisha's outburst very disgusting and ludicrous, but thank God am not alone on this. I'm still bemused by that silly woman's arrogancy and outright pompousness. Like seriously!!! Who the hell does she thinks she is? A president, your husband have to consult you before he makes his appointments? Aisha is very silly and I hope buhari will tame the nonentity once and for all. Buhari knows the woman very well and that's the main reason he never wanted the office of the 1st lady in the first place. Now that she has achieved her stupid goal, what will be next for her? Can you believe that what she did was so big that local televisions and newspapers over here are carrying the news. Funny indeed. Anyway, Mrs modath, you haven't made any comment regarding this buhari/Aisha saga. I'm looking forward to read your comment. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

Not once I suppose, but are you conversant on the state of things in the country? I will say yes, how much the wife of the president that has access to much more? 15 Likes |

Every reasonable person knows that Aisha's unwarranted statement is borne out of frustration to weird her influence and flaunt her much coveted statue as the first lady. Unfortunately she's not married to a "Santa Cruz" but Muhammadu Buhari Mai'gaskiya. She might have lost her patience waiting eagerly to be given a free role to operate, as "befitting" a first lady but the opportunity failed to come neither is there any hope in the future for it going by the dispositions of the ever principled husband of hers. Those kicking secretly against her husband's dispositions within the party found her as a viable tool to use to state their grouse, thus compounding the pressure on her to speak out. Her statement gave her out as one of those vain and mundane women around, even as her expression has confirmed that indeed Buhari belongs to everybody and belongs to nobody not even his wife. I knew that definitely she's already biting her fingers but it is too late. 12 Likes 3 Shares |

fiizznation:Nigerians are hypocritical in their doings. You applaud the man when he said "no office of the first lady". Now that the man appears unyielding even to those we think could control him (e.g Tinubu), you rally round his wife suffering from his stance of "No Office of First Lady". We're a special creation of God. 9 Likes |

Well written article though some of what she said was in order it would have been better in private rather than creating such a spectacle. That said PMB should have avoided the kitchen statement because of how brain dead people will deliberately misinterprete what he said. At the end no Nigerian know the agreement between pmb and his wife. 2 Likes |

PassingShot:I can't believe you just attempted to justify usurpation of a peoples' mandate by a CABAL! even the President's aides wouldn't dare. She has only asked that those Nigerians trusted with power , the APC, be allowed to do their job. She says these usurpers don't even have voters' cards and are outsiders. Secondly if this cabal had done a good job of running things she wouldn't have got the applause she's getting now. 12 Likes |

Ppl are just looking @ d insignificant points raised @ d interview & 4getting d sensitive ones. Now, she raised a very valid point, d ppl appointed in2 dis public offices some don't even have a voters card. Dis is rada unfair 2 dose who voted 4 d administratn, I believe dat shud even be among d things 2 be looked out 4 wen appointing dem. It doesn't matter which party dey voted 4, we cannot ascertain dat & we cannot ascertain if d voted, but we can determine d interest dey have 4 dis natn by ensuring dey have a voters card. I think it is very important. D senate needs 2 look in2 dat. 4 Likes |

OP it's either your dictionary has limited words or you have an eye defect...she talked about a cabal hijacking the government and yet you seem not to see it worthy of mention...You came here offering poo for food...See your reasons for the president not knowing most of his appointees,it clearly shows you haven't been able to get the full bearing of aisha's statement cos she never said he appointed people because of qualifications, she said appointments where given base on recommendations by a certain cabal...You seem to be a bit myopic. 22 Likes |

newbornmacho:That APC won the election means no one outside APC should get appointments? The "good job" angle depends on who you are. To many, PMB is doing a good job at clearing the mess he inherited from PDP. States and FG were owing massively as at when he came in that he had to provide huge bailout in his second month on the job. That surely is an indication of what mess he met. If not for PMB, we might have advertised Nigeria for sale on OLX. Topic for another day. 7 Likes |

Ur analysis is logical enough for any unbiased analytical mind to digest..... The most annoying part is where she saw herself or even the president himself not knowing many of the appointess personaly as a good criteria to disqualify them I cant remember if most of the foreign based experts hired by OBJ, YARADUA like Okonjos n the rest were previously known by them or even part of their campaign train Woman is just appealing for our pity because Mr integrity refused her the opportunity to hijack the presidency as was the culture before now 8 Likes 1 Share |

Actually this is how Jonathan supporters continued to give out false vibes and narratives despite the many vices going on then. The same ol' is playing out here. The OP failed to touch on points where she brought up issues of change the party promised versus whats on ground at the moment. Nigerians are enduring one of the worst economic crisis at the moment, due to oil prices but also due to inconsistent policies. Trials and errors has been the order of the day using government instruments to try to balance the economy. The common man is paying the price with almost unbearable standards of living and massively decreased buying power. The current trend is while Nigerians may score him a 5.5 on corruption. He's certainly hovering on a 3 in other areas. Statements like 'belongs in the kitchen' or other room is an unacceptable term frowned upon in educated societies. A leader implying this is as degrading the role of half the population that they are no worth more to the society than cooking and reproducing. It's telling a female child that no matter how educated she is, she's to be subject to archaic thinking of limited opportunities. 9 Likes |

PassingShot:Neah I don't think anything will happen to her marriage{and I don't pray such thing happen to her}. The woman goofed big time and am very sure she is currently regretting it. People will step into the matter and buhari will definitely listen to the voice of reason. Aisha just have a major beef with Abba kyari and she'd expected her husband to take some actions against the man, but when forth wasn't coming, she became frustrated. Aisha and zarah are two people buhari should have kept out of the public eye and he failed to that in my opinion. Gej might be disaster, but one thing I like about him is the way he kept his family affairs very private. I never knew he had a son not until of recent. Even his wife{PEJ} wasn't overbearing like the way buhari allowed Aisha to be. 2 Likes |

PassingShot:Guy, forget this! where were Mamman Daura and Abba Kyari when electioneering was on? PMB said he can't satisfy all, but must he satisfy the greedy nature of Mamman Daura and Abba Kyari? This duo neither have APC card membership nor INEC Voter' card, if truly they love this country and PMB what stopped them from getting one. I am a core Buharist, but PMB gaffed by saying his wife belongs to kitchen beside the most powerful woman on earth coz that tells our primitive thiniking here in Nigeria. Aisha toiled round Nigeria campaigning for her husband and voted for Buhari, but Mamman Daura and his protege never did any and have bcome the biggest beneficiaries of buhari presidency. President99:No matter how you put it, the president will decide who and who forms the cabal around him. If a man excludes his wife from such circle, he surely has his reason. And if Aisha saw it right to do what she did, PMB was right to tell her in the open what she must have told her in the bedroom - that she belongs in his kitchen and not in his job. 5 Likes |
