The National Population Commission has released the figures for the last census exercise. Though details are still sketchy, it was stated there are more males than females in Nigeria. Precisely, it said there are 71 million plus males in Nigeria compared to 68 million females.

Could this be true considering the fact that females are known to be more than males? If this is true, what is the implication for Nigerian economy? How will this affect social interaction and marital relationships?

Why is that? It is generally accepted that the population is between 120-150m people.

How exactly are satellite pictures supposed to give you a population figure. All they would give you is an idea of where population concentrations are.

By the way, how will this affect the Igbo states? . . . We know that even though Igbos are being bashed for wanting to seceede, Igbos have the highest number of its group living in other states. Hopefully some nuts don't use the state by state figure to claim that they're more populous than other groups.

satellite picture tell you if the population is correct, in 1991 census IBB govt claim that Mayo Belwa had more population than Numan in Adamawa state, but pictures shows that Numan is more populated, I have been to both, so at least the picture disprove the claim be kastina state in 1991 census, which IBB claim it was more populated than oyo state,

Based on how your formula works, you appear to be assuming one of it's variables. How do you obtain your human density figures? Is this based on number of homes found in an area? If so, it means you would have to assume a constant number of people per house.

You should visit your nearest motorpark in Mile2 or Yaba, check out the number of buses looking to go down to Anambra and compare with those looking to go to Ondo. Again you're out of touch, you need to get off the couch and do some travelling. To me there is going to be another Civil war in this country. These Ewu hausa and Omole people are not saying the truth they are hidding a lot of things from the Igbos. How can a desert like kaduna be more populated than Anambra state.

I have travelled almost all the villages in Anambra state, brodas there is no way Ogun and Ondo even put together can be more populated than anambra u guys should travel and see for urself.

Travel through Owerri road and see things for urself from Onitsha - Oba - Oraifite - Ozubulu- NNewi even to Ihiala are all towns with business booming in them. Not to talk of awka-Enugu which has more towns.

I have traveled to ondo state and I tell u my brothers that apart from Akure and Ore we do not have any town that is as big as any of the towns mentioned above.

Checking properly you will find out that 30% of the people leaving in the Ondo and Ogun state's are Igbos.

On Akure have you ever been to Akure,  I would assume you have never been to Akure that why you made statement like this,  Akure is a capital of Ondo state,  so that is even enough reason why it is nearly 3 times big than onitsha, 

From satellite picture, Onitsha is only a linear settlement,  that why you assume it is big, 
DO you know what a linear settlement is if you do not know,  it is houses built alone a long road,  In geography we also have what is called cluster settlement,   Because Onitsha is close to the Niger bridge people build houses along the road leading into Igbo land and from satellite picture, you can see that is what happen,  so when travelling through onitsha you would naturally assume that it is big place,   IT IS MORE OF A MIRAGE.

MY REPLY:  I would assume 250 luxurious travel to the east per day, from lagos,    if they carry 60 people that give 60 X 250 =15000,  this is the maximun it can be,  and 250 buses do travel each day,  it is only during peak period,    Ondo state is what we call a travelling path and not a destination,  the east is a destination,  you have no data,  to judge,  what we have is clear satellite picture, 

and most of this people going to the east do go to the east at least twice a week,  so it is the same group of people travelling from lagos to the east,  they buy and sell,
