We finished our youth service successfully to the glory of God, it’s not easy but we came, we saw and we conquered.

At least I finished with two certificate, NYSC and that of my fashion school, I’m now a certified fashion designer.

“Eko state here I come” I said to myself while packing my bags and baggages. I’ve missed home and my beau like….I can’t wait to see them.

Six months after NYSC I got a job, Feranmi got his earlier before me, he got a very job, in fact we had to celebrate it. Things were going on well for the both of us.

Feranmi called at my house one Saturday evening, he brought a bowl of ice cream along with him, he stayed briefly and left. I settle down to drink the ice cream, I opened the cover and saw something shining on the surface. It was a ring.

“Oh my God, Is the this what I think it is"

I was super excited, I picked my phone hurriedly and gave him a call

“Hello Feranmi” I said with enthusiasm

We commenced our wedding plans, first the intromimo(introduction) like my Thessy used to call it, right after the introduction the wedding date was fixed.

Feranmi got a there bedroom flat on the mainland, I assisted with the interior decor and every other thing was going on smoothly as planned.

We were on break in the office one fateful day, when I got a call from my fiance, he told me to come over to his place after work, I noticed he didn’t sound Feranmi.

“Sweetheart, what’s the problem you don’t sound good”

“All is well, I’ll be expecting you.
I'll see you later” he said and the line went off.

He knew I would be worried and he can’t even do me the honours of sharing whatever is eating him up, who does that? I said to myself.

Now seriously I was scared, I only go to his place on weekends, so for him to tell me to come in the middle of the week got me worried. Then I remembered he said all is well, so I decided to dwell on that.

Do try to stick to your first person narrative, in fact I think this should have just been written in third person.
Sometimes, you also switch the narrator from Wemmy (whom I believe should be the narrator) to other characters.
Also, take note of your tenses and don't always rush to update, make sure you proofread.

I FELL IN LOVE : Episode 14

I got to his apartment and he kind of look different.

“You don’t look fine to me, are you sick?”

“I’m not sick, how was your day?”

“Fine, but your face looks gloomy”

“Sit down and calm down”.

“Wemmy, I have some news for you but I’m sorry it’s not a good one”

Now I’m on my feet again, my heart did some Skyrocketing.

“Sit Wemimo” he said and I obeyed.

Fear griped me as I remember hearing stories of guys who break up with their fiancee few months, weeks, or even days to their wedding.

God so I’m here to get a break up speech, or did he impregnate someone, since we are in a no-sex-before-marriage kind of relationship, no it can’t be. This were all the thought going on in my head. The letter he pointed at me brought me back from reverie. Now I refuse to sit.

“Noooooo…..God no…this can’t be happening to us, after everything we’ve been through! A sack letter! A month to our wedding! My legs are now shivering and at that moment I knew standing up was a bad idea, i crashed on the tiled floor and wept bitterly, I wept like a child that just lost her mother

“Wemimo its OK, everything we be fine, I will get another job”

“It’s not Ok, is this the price I have to pay for what I did to Emmanuel” I said in tears.

“One more thing, let’s cancel our honey moon trip in order to cut down expenses”

I got home that evening, locked myself up in my room and cried to God.

God I seek your face concerning this marriage and you told me to go ahead, so why is all this happening to us, we even neglect our lustful desires just to keep the marriage bed undefiled. I was still lamenting when a verse in the scripture dropped in my heart.
