When you mention Ojukwu, the mental picture is that of a coward that had a larger than life Ego, just like most of his Anambra folks, but who in reality are empty barrels.

it's good you know I'm a spoilt brat using my mom's phone.
Awo engineered a starvation policy by the food blockade that killed 3million Biafran children and also gave only 20 pounds to igbos after the war, thereby keeping their millions for his people. he was hailed for this act by his people who now turn around, like the two - faced hypocrite that they are, to say 'we are one Nigeria'.
Till today no igbo has come out to ask why should a man who committed a war-crime be honored if we are really brothers in Nigeria.
Now your people open their smelly amala and ewedu mouth to question why should a man, who sacrificed his father's wealth to prosecute a war and was even begged to lead his people out of the cesspit called Nigeria, be honored and celebrated by his people.
You afonjas make hypocritical comments and when we stand up to put your oblong head straight you turn around to say we are filled with hatred forgetting that you guys are the fore-runners of hate and envy.
You don't see igbos in any afonja- related thread but check out any igbo related thread: you guys will be crawling like roaches all over it, spewing your hate and envy as usual.
U are obviously pained!! I can understand your frustration but Ojukwu failed in his most important mission I.e. to create the state of Biafra, instead he left d Igbos in a worse state than e meet then and then ran away.... If not for Shagari, a Fulani teacher who gave him pardon, he would have died a persons non grata

Thank you for kick-starting the annihilation of this hydra headed serpent disguised as a country
We shall continue where you stopped.
It is a battle for our unborn children and even for our supposed neighbor enemies; but they won't see it in that light because they have been blinded by hate and inferiority complex

Ojukwu could not equip his army properly, he could not feed hisa civilians adeqauately yet he was boasting before the commencement of hostilities that he had the largest army in black Africa and that the other saide(Nigeria) would be shocked as to what they would get from him.

Ojukwu, the initiator of the Biafra civil war, who once boasted that he would fight till the lst drop of his blood, eventually ran away to Abidjan after commandeering a plane that was meant to airlift sick Biafran children.

Alhaji Shehu Shagari later granted Ojukwu amnesty in 1982. In 1983, Ojukwu contested in the Senatorial election, he also contested in the 2003 and 2007 Presidential elections and lost woefully on all occasions. It is highly prepostorus that a man who fought against Nigeria later came back to Nigeria and participated at various elections in the same country he fought against
In simply terms u are referring to Odumegwu Ojukwu as what... if I may guess a 'Coward' right grin

Odogwu eji ejemba! Dike ndigbo. You stood up and was counted when it mattered most. The man dies in him that kept silent in the face of tyranny. You looked the murderous cavemen hell bent on deleting your beloved people from the map in the face and told them to go to hell. As the first graduate to have enroll in the Nigerian army you knew the dimension the hate filled state sponsored revenge spear headed by illiterate Danjuma will have on the political psyche of this country forever. You sought for peace in Kampala , you proposed a masterpiece solution in Aburi. But Gowon and his masters decided to divide a traumatized people by creating a phantom IMO and anambra state. This time around you had no excuse to give the Igbo elders who were waiting for you at Enugu. It was the last straw. The people were ready and they had a lion in you. Rest on the people's general.

In honour of His Excellency, Gen. Chukwuemeke Odumegwu Ojukwu on his 83rd Posthumous birthday.

Whom neither shape of danger could dismay, Nor thought of tender happiness betray? Eloquence was in his voice, bravery in his heart. His life, he devoted to the cause of his people, to justice, to fairness, to equity. And for this he was cannonaded, while he lived. By the rapine vultures that devoured the land. The famished land called Nigeria. They called him a rebel; and he answered, yes I was a rebel: a rebel against a pack of mercenary wretches. Bent on unleashing a genocide on my people ; a rebel for refusing a barter concious for pittance, a rebel for choosing freedom over slavery! Oh goodness, that truth would be so scare, and lie so aplenty in the land

which simply means. he fought for his belly or pocket selfishly from inception till his death.

This does not mean all Igbos are dubious, am a yoruba man. Awolowo too and others have their hidden agendas to deceive the people then with much knowledge, wisdom.

I beg to quote u in response to others, who know the truth BT just wanted to turn this tread into a war zone. now no ethnicity no matter how meek, humble, kind, it people are would want to share a country with a people and government that openly and also assisted in the killing on 30,000 of it kins men and women under the space of 48 hours. it on record that 30,000 igbos were killed into north. even the Fulani, Hausa, Yoruba, would still be at war till today. cos if they didn't go to war the killing would have continued. the Igbo ethnicity where no coward.
toe to toe we went with Nigeria in the battlefield stats shows that the biafrans were winning the war. until the blockade of food meant for children. the day Nigeria did that, it the day Nigeria lost it conscience, that why it will always turn a blind eye to the cry of her people. yes we lost a few millions my grandfather inclusive. BT it shows we are not pushovers. and best of it all WE ARE NO COWARD. If Gowon had honored the aburi accord, there would have been no need for the war.it the same aburi accord that ojukwu fought for. that the same aburi accord that Nigerian has realized that it was for the betterment of all. Thank You.
