Community Development: Fayose present cheques to communities

Governor Ayodele Fayose on Friday presented cheques worth N50m through Ekiti State Community and Social Development Agency (ESCSDA) to representatives of 6 Ekiti Communities for various self help projects already embarked upon in the selected communities.

Amongst communities to benefit in this first batch of ESCSDA fund are Ilamoji Community, Ado-Ekiti, Odo Ikoro Community, Ikoro Ekiti, Ikoyi Community, Ikere Ekiti, Afao Community, Afao Ekiti, Ilupeju Community, Ado-Ekiti and Igbede Kota Community, Ikota Ekiti.

According to the ESCSDA general manager, Mr. Bamisaye, 30 other communities scattered around the 16 local government areas of the state will benefit from second batch of the funding before the end of first quarter of 2017.

Governor Fayose who admonished the benefitting communities to ensure quality work is done said he will continue to do his best at moving the state forward.

I still don't know what this Fayose's legacy will be when he leaves office in less than 2 years. Giving 50 million Naira to 6 community leaders is so dumb as the money stays in their pockets.

He governs like he's in the opposition and campaigning against the state governor. No tangible infrastructure or growth, nothing to show other than running is mouth upandan.

Well he'll be remembered for publicly displaying the poverty in Ekiti, making them queue up for 2kg bag of rice, 1ltr bottle of oil. Smh

I will advice you visit Ekiti state and forget reading too many sahara reporter's new. As soon as you leave the shores of osun state, you start seeing is legacies everywhere. Is first term brought ekiti state into the spotlight.

Excuse me please, did they win lottery or why is it being presented this way? I taught community development is the work of state/LGA, so why do this show off? Won't be surprised if in few months we start hearing that they haven't received the cash!!!!!
