When you open the Quran you see that it is in there that Christians are disbelievers and all disbelievers must be herded into HellFire, yet this man chose to head that way. I believe I can provide a little answer to your original post. I read it and love the manner you presented it. Though am sad that it is a bit misunderstood by a fellow to the point of ridiculing the name of God.

I shall, by God grace try to remember to return to this thread to add to what you have read. Am mobile now and therefore cant do much.

On the addiction to porn, I make bold to say it has nothing to do with religion affiliation. Porn watching are more prevalence in non muslim countries and yet, no one link their problems to their religions. Similarly, countries like China and japan has strict and rigid law against porns and we all know that they dont all worship God, yet they prosper. Finally, we know that contemporary African society detest porns/nudity and also worship idols, yet they are underdeveloped, poor!

What these analogies implies is that watching porns may not necesarily has much to do with the authencity of your faith. It is a moral question.

Most people that we consider clean and godly on the outside do watch porns when opportunities present itself.

Porn to me is like a virus (a social virus) with a consequence. Watch and get addicted to it, and you have to bear the consequence regardless of your religion affiliation.

But there is cure for porn addiction. Depending on the intensity of addiction, if he follow the rule, just as smokers, drug addict, he will be free. Mind you, God can answer the prayers of porn watchers, prostitutes etc as long as they have faith and know how to pray regardless of their religion affiliations. God answers everyone on earth, that is why He is Ar Rahmon.

If your friend want to be cured of porn watching, then he must combine faith with actions amd follow the path of recovery
