Ymodulus: I can't believe what I just read. Why do you have to sound this way? This is the reason why there is corruption in our country Instead of you to encourage him so that he will learn to manage what he receives then when he gains more experience he will move up. You are telling him that people are making that money in one day. The same way people are managing that same money and using it to train intelligent children through school. All labor is HONORABLE, this means there is something good in every job, even packing refuse. Where do you think OBJ, GEJ, and even Buhari started from? It was a gradual process to get to the top, that way you learn to stay there when you eventually arrive I know you are respected on here for your generosity but I sincerely pity the people who rely on your advice. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Look young man.. you can take the job if you dont have alternative...But never in your life believe 30k is enough for a graduate.....Any body that tells you to manage is just your enemy.....Take it , but know is not worth it...30k divide by 30 days is 1k...minues transportation ,how much are you getting... remember that nigeria deals with importation.ie almost everything we use now is imported.... so as the dollar rise now.... your salary is not even upto 80 usd And an ordinary labourer in US ..makes dat in just a day without stress... So No is not worth it. But take it if you dont have alternative... Graduates in this country are just sellling themselves short....All this people above me 2 Likes 1 Share |

Pidgin2: Madam, With all due respect, there is what we call hardwork and standard. 30,000naira is nothing to write home about and is nothing been proud off. Why should he earn N30,000 if he is not able to settle his bills? There read my post over and over again and you will get what i say. He can do a vocational job of monetize his skill and earn more... You fail to understand that the more you accept ease the poorer you become. I am a youth serving corp member, with one of the best results in my faculty... Even before graduating i am already working in 2 media house. I left all the comfort of salary summing up to 100k a month just 1 month graduating ( December ) to go for my business and ma i can comfortably tell you that today. Only November last month i made a 409million + transaction banking a N19.4million profit. My accounts and statement and office records are there as proof. I run my office i do whatever i like, i sack anyone at will. Mind you i wud have taken the easy path as a lecturer. I worked for it and its paying me today. So if i can forget the comfort of a 100k+ salary a month to go struggle, i dont see why he should accept 30,000/month salary which will not sustain him for 3 weeks. There is a reason why we have brains, its to think and work on what we think. Business is not all rosy yes i know that but even at worst case scenario business men are better than salary earners. Its not growth to me nor a starting point. 17 Likes 7 Shares |

Ymodulus:. I commend you on your achievements indeed the road seems easy for you but if you look at the five fingers on your hands i'm sure you will notice that all fingers are not equal In Europe every job is respected. If you are a cleaner or a janitor you can stand anywhere and boldly announce it. If everybody decide to take your advice and become entrepreneurs who will fill in the spaces in our corporate establishments and govt run organizations? That things are working smoothly for you doesn't mean it will be the same for the next person. Your time on earth is not the same with others neither is your destiny the same. I hope you are paying tax with all the millions you earn? People have given up 300K jobs because they believed so much in entrepreneurship but today they are penniless and looking for any paid job 2 Likes |

OP, if you asked such a question to a plumber working in one of the unity schools I know, receiving not up to 1/4 of that, yet with family or the a handicapped guy living around my vicinity, a graduate with two kids already but constantly undergoing subtle insults from his parents whom he lives with, or a banker that was laid off who has more experience and would gladly take it... chances are by the end you shall be cursed with all the curses in the old testament What was even your pocket money when you were an undergraduate.. Check if 30k is not preferable to being an economic outpatient? However don't be desperate if it's slavery o. This might be mustard seed start. Kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed 1 Like |

Nothing wrong with it. It's a starting point....tins will get beta with time. As a graduate with very good grade, my first job was 7k a month (2009), and later 17k a month (2010)....7-6 years later, not only am I very comfortable financially, but into a job dat have given me opportunity to mingle with d high and mighty in our society, great influence, contact and a broader vision. it has also enable me see life from an entirely different and positive perspective....and all these would never have bn possible had I rejected that first job, 7 years ago....so, wetin mata na where u dey go, not where u start....congrats bro 1 Like |
