During Jonathan era the usual statement then was the bulk stops at the president 's table, now that its Buhari' s tenure the governor is on top of things. Hypocrisy at its climax 4 Likes |

basilo102: Femi Adesina is very correct. Governors were not shouting true Federalism when FG gave grants to pay salaries which is actually an insult. They have a childishly selective interpretation of that principle. Most states are not using half of their powers to do good to their people. They are independent federating units when they are installing Presidents and financing elections in other states but when it comes to work and real governance they shout federalism |

You don't expect El-Rufai to do good well on this issue because he has resolved to pay the killers herdmen who he said they were from some African countries were caught up in 2011 electoral violence and as a result lost their property some of their men of which he said they were entitled to compensation for the losses they incurred. The same state that could roll out its weapons of mass destruction against Shias now lack power to contain the terror of Fulani herdmen in the same state. One wonder whether the same true federalism was not in force when every happening was blamed on Jonathan's government by the same bunch of disjointed element.I leave the rest to your imagination. 1 Like |

This is a lame excuse. It is not about a governor being on top of the situation. It is about a President showing concern for his citizens who are wantonly killed. I think it wouldn't be a bad thing for the Prwsident to wven say he is in touch with the Kaduna state Governor and all is being done to not only bring the carnage to an end but to ensure that perpetrators of the act are brought to face justice. 1 Like |

Una hear, dem say bubu dey work well well, dem even talk say when ever the cow rearers kill Una brothers and sisters, bubu go quickly call Una governors and gist and gist and gist. He may not do much, but he makes phone calls every time Nigerians get killed and that fact should make your hearts gladen. Those deaths did not go un noticed by bubu. For each death, he dedicates a few credit minutes to talk to your governor. |

0b10010011: Will you say this if your whole family is wipped out by cattle rearers on their way home from a journey and Buhari tells you he has made phone calls and the case ends there? Or you are blessing him because it's not your family corpse being shown as victims of this evil? Please let us try to imagine how those who lost people and whose lives are affected so badly that they can't sleep peacefully while the government and people like you are living life in some semblance of peace . Let us try to imagine how desperate they are to see an end to this terror. Maybe when it hits home, many of you will know why this politics with human lives is getting out of hands. |

Death is so common in our country that 50 people killed is nothing to worry about. There are still enough people to vote in the next elections. |
