The governing board of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN, have reacted to the sacking of the Executive Secretary of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), Jim Obazee, by President Buhari, yesterday.

The former Executive Secretary of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN), Jim Obazee, was the person that approved the “ Corporate Governance Code ” into law, which prohibits leaders of non-profit organizations, including churches, mosques from being in office for more than 20 years.

However, the supposed approved law which implemented by Obazee recently, forced the General overseer of RCCG, Pastor E.A Adeboye, to announce his retirement last Saturday. Speaking to DailyTrust, the General Secretary of CAN, Rev. Musa Asake said Obazee's sack proved that anybody who fought with the church will find himself in a place that he doesn't want.

"The sack of Jim (Obazee) is good riddance to bad rubbish. Anybody that wants to fight the church will find himself where he does not want. Jim got to the position by the grace of God, but set out to probe and destroy the church of God. I spoke with him several times on this issue but he wouldn’t listen. He was going to take the church to what is worse than Armageddon. Thank God the authorities have stepped in to right the wrong. He should have been fired a long time ago and we don’t know why he was left alone, but God’s time is always the best. That code should be thrown out completely because government should not interfere with the church. The church is a no-go zone for the government. Doing that has serious implications. It they attempt it, it will lead to confusion in the nation.”

The suffering of Jim Obazee has just begun.

God will melt more decisive punishment on him for dragging the things of God to the Mud.

I JUST PITY HIS GENERATION.

Mixing religion and politics...a dangerous combination

So a religions organisation that does not contribute to the production base of the country now dictates policy direction for the government?! undecided

CAN, Pst Adeboye, Pst Kumuyi, Bishop Oyedepo, Orisajefo, Apostle Suleiman, Rev Oyakhilome and co kept quiet about the killing of Christians in Southern Kaduna. However, when Government wanted to limit their tenure in church control, they shouted themselves hoarse.

Lesson: these guys are all hustling for their own bellies and don't give a flying fvck if Christians get beheaded by nomadic herdsmen.

Oyedepo's wife and Children are the trustees of Living Faith Inc. When he wants to hand over, he can only hand over to a Trustee and your guess is as good as mine. His son pastors the Church in London, his daughter married his P.A. That is how these men have privatized the church. This same Oyedepo reportedly has 4 jets and NO state in Nigeria can boast of 3 jets.

Adeboye bought a Jet from the donations made to him as a Trustee of RCCG and wrote his name on it. FYI, the income of the RCCG in Nigeria is more than the IGR of about 12 states put together. Yet, you go to the government hospitals and see RCCG members broke, penniless and waiting for 'divine' intervention. That explains why Adeboye made his son his personal assistant. If you disagree with me, go to the vacancies section and request for CVs from RCCG members only and see the number of Resumes you'll be bombarded with.

Judgment should start in the house of God cos churches in Nigeria are all about the money.

That's incorrect

Adeboye's CAN endorsed Gej.

This had been discussed on this forum extensively

With the revelations that has trailed his action, he is without doubt a misfit. He allowed too much sentiment in what he pushed for. Since the political class had created a religion hegemony that has resulted to mutual suspicion among the major religion divide, Nigeria now cannot just be ready for this kind of law.
