See as those guards be like say dem just commot from assassins creed, I'm sure there must have been some confusion before they eventually settled for Yoruba which for me is a safe bet.

Two francophone countries speak Yoruba ( Togo and Republic of Benin) Those two Yoruba speaking nations also share borders wit two more francophone countries; Burkina Faso and Niger. As this is a Francophone summit, it makes sense. It's the language they relate with the most.

It would be the same if a Brazilian - Nigerian summit were held in Brazil.

It's not superiority its, familiarity and association.

You Muslim Yorubas are the ones giving the Yoruba tribe a bad name. You are the dirty ones and most illiterate of them. Your Islamic polygamous nature is the reason why your brothers are mostly motor park touts (agbero) who bear names like ganiyu, taju, mukaila, semiu, sule, Ismaila etc. The female ones are the paraga sellers and dirty girls that make other tribes laugh at the Yorubas. Take away Islam from SW and see how the region will flourish.

Am glad that the Igbos Now know the difference by seeing that the enemy is the Islamic Yorubas and not the Christians. That's why they always call you Afonja aka a sell out who won't mind killing all the yoruba Christians for his Hausa muslim masters.

It's so sad that you are proud to call yourself a denigrating name- Afonja

IamPatriotic:
If not for bad politics, Yoruba Language would have been adopted as our national language, while English language remains the official language, it has the best semantic and phonetic feature among the other notable languages in Nigeria . ..Yoruba is simply to learn and quick to understand...

it's never too late to start from somewhere
From a linguistic point of view
