Ini Edo Accuses Omoni Oboli of Hypocrisy and Sycophancy

Ini Edo has never been one to brawl with anyone on social media, but for the first time, the actress has taken to Instagram to speak her mind.

Drama started after her colleague Omoni Oboli shared a photo of herself and Uche Jombo in which she explained why she didn’t attend the premiere of Jombo’s directorial debut at the Imax Theatre in Lagos last week. But Ini Edo didn’t buy that excuse.

“There is no production in this country that would hold you back on set, knowing your supposed bestie is premiering her directorial debut,” said Ini on the post, adding, “So please just stop with the sycophancy and hypocrisy. I guess it is called Instagram love.”

“My baby mama is not worried about the fact that we have not got married yet so people should not worry on our behalf. At the end of the day, what is marriage? I do not have a clue and I cannot jump into it. “We are still both young and by God’s grace, we have been through the struggles together. Most of my business is being handled by her. When we get to a certain age, we would do it (get married). I believe in the institution of marriage.

“She is the only child of her mother and the pressure seems to be more from her side (family) but she is in charge. She is a rich girl and in charge. She does not feel threatened by the fact that we are not yet legally married because she knows the kind of person that I am. She knows Gabriel, but does not know Terry G. She does not even like Terry G. She is not a fan of Terry G and she criticises my songs a lot. She is so classy.”

Fame scares men from approaching me– Oluwabusayo Abiri (Khloe BBN)

Background

I was born on October 29, 1993, in Lagos State to Mr. and Mrs. Abiri. I am the second child of the family but the first daughter and I am from Ekiti State.

I have many great childhood memories. However, I will say that my best memory as a child was the day my parents finally agreed to enrol me in my secondary school’s hostel. That had been my dream and prayer point from when I was in JSS One. It finally happened when I got to my senior class and till date I cherish the experience.

Education

For my secondary education, I attended Lagos State Model College, Meiran, Lagos State. I graduated with a degree in Accounting from the Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Before BBN

I had been in the industry for years before Big Brother Naija came up. I was a commercial model and I worked with some known brands and adverts. I was a video vixen for a while but I stopped that in 2018. Right before BBN, I was into fashion designing.

It was a shocking experience because that wasn’t the first audition I had appeared at. I tried out at the audition for Big Brother Africa and the audition of BBN before the one I finally became a housemate at, but I never got a pass. I promised myself that I would strive to get into the one I finally got picked in for January this year. I put in my best and God crowned my effort with success. It was such a great and surreal experience that money cannot buy. There were times I wanted to just go back home but I always say a strong woman doesn’t quit until she is done and that was the drive I had to endure and enjoy the confinement in the house. I’m grateful for the opportunity. If I had another chance to go for BBN and stay that long in the house, I don’t know if I would accept or not.

After BBN

I will say BBN has put more attention on me and my brand but I honestly wasn’t doing badly before I got into the house. I was known and well recognised but not as much as now though. Now, I am known all over the continent and that is the added advantage I got from the BBN platform. There is still the hustle and hard work but.......

Tekno speaks for the first time after suffering a temporal voice box damage

Nigerian musician, Augustine Miles Kilechi popularly known as Tekno has spoken for the first time after damaging his voice box which is temporal.

Earlier, Tekno took to his Instagram page to plead with his fans to pray for him as he disclosed that he is receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.

Later, it was disclosed by his manager, Ubi Franklin that Tekno tried to downplay the ailment thinking it was short lived.



However, after further diagnosis, he was advised by doctors to take some time off the music so he could recover and that his ailment was due to strain from overtime performances.

Well, the Singer has spoken today for the first time noting that it hasn’t being easy for him at all.

Taking to Twitter page this afternoon, the singer revealed: ‘It’s been very difficult for me’; and indication that he will be well soon than expected. Get well.

Ghana’s Cedi has more value than Naira – Omotola

Veteran Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, was in Ghana for the All Africa Music Awards 2018.

So she had some super nice experiences and it appears she wish to be a Ghanaian.

Omotola noted that our Ghanaian Cedis has more weight than their Naira.

Narrating her experience, the screen icon said she changed 10,000 Naira upon getting to Ghana and all they gave her was GHC120.

That’s to mean that the cedis possess more value than the Naira because to her, the Cedis didn’t even last before it varnished from her hands.

Speaking further, the actress talked about our newly built Kotoka International Airport, Terminal 3.

She narrated that she forgot her two phones while signing immigration cards.

To her surprise announcement was made and she was made to pick up the phone at guest services.

Meaning to her if it were to be at a Nigerian airport, that would mean her phones are lost and lost forever.

Actress and Mum of one, Tonto Dikeh, today expressed her displeasure over the culture in Nigeria where people refer those to older than them as Aunty or Uncle.

Many fans of the entertainers got concerned when it was announced that Olamide and Wizkid’s shows in December will hold on the same day. The announcement left many fans confused on which one to go for.

Olamide has however cleared the air saying,

2 men arraigned for stabbing Wizkid’s bodyguard

Lagos—The Chairman of Poshhills Entertainment, Olufemi Olusanya, popularly known as Femi Posh and a bouncer David Afari were arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrates Court, yesterday, for allegedly stabbing the personal guard of music star, Wizkid, Emmanuel Obinna. 2019: We are going to the next level of change-Fashola assures Nigerians Obinna Emmanuel was allegedly beaten while he was trying to pay part of Wizkid’s N15million debt to Femi Posh Olusanya 38 and Afari 29, are facing a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, unlawful assault and grievous bodily harm, preferred against them by the Police. It was gathered that Wizkid’s guard, Emmanuel, had on November 15 gone to DANA nightclub at 76, Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Victoria Island, to settle the bill that his boss was owing, when he was attacked by the defendants. It was also learned that Wizkid owed the nightclub the sum of N8million, and also a pull party bill of N7 million, which his security guard had gone to settle, when Olusanya called Afari to beat him up and also used a broken glass to injure him. During the arraignment of the duo, the police prosecutor, Inspector Joseph Jimoh, told the court that the defendants unlawfully assaulted the complainant Obinna, by beating him and using broken glass to injure one of his eyes, finger and left side of his face. He said that the incident took place at about 3.am, on November 15, adding that the defendants caused the victim grievous bodily harm by inflicting injuries on his eye with a fist blow and stabbed him on the left side of his face with a broken glass. According to him, the offences committed is punishable under sections 411, 173 and 245 of the criminal laws of Lagos State 2015. However, the duo pleaded not guilty to the charges filed against them. Their lawyer, D. Mustapher, urged the court to admit the defendants to bail on a liberal term, as steps are already being taken to settle the matter, adding that one of the steps being taken is the footing of the complainant’s medical bills. Consequently the Magistrate Y. O Aro-Lambo, who stood in for Magistrate O. O. Oshin, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each, with two sureties each in like sum. He said one of the sureties, must be a community leader and the two sureties must be taxpayers to the Lagos State government and have their addresses verified. The magistrate adjourned the case till January 17, for mention.

Kizz Daniel refunds performance fee to Babcock students

Kizz Daniel has refunded the performance fees paid by students of Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Ogun.

Students of the university had posted videos and photos, accusing the ‘For Days’ singer of arriving late and failing to perform after collecting performance fees.

In a letter signed by Ogu Samuel and Alu Ene, the Babcock University Students’ Association (BUSA) secretary general and president,

“On behalf of Babcock University Students’ Association (BUSA), we appreciate everyone for the Freshers’ Fair yesterday,” the statement read.

“Unfortunately, our final artiste could not perform because he arrived extremely late, because he arrived late from a trip to Dubai and there was no formal agreement stating any performance time and the university has strict regulations on the timing of event, hence the money paid to the guest artist (Kizz Daniel) has been returned to the association.

“We hereby repudiate any defamatory (videos, photos and comments) motion levelled against BUSA or Kizz Daniel and anyone found still holding on to these posts, necessary items would be taken by BUSA, Fly Boy INC and the Kizz Daniel.”

Nigerian entertainers are too broke for me –Maryam Charles


Budding actress, Maryam Charles, caused a lot of drama when she advised women to use what they have to get what they want. In a post on her Instagram page, she taught women how to get things from their men during sex.
