I'm confused and don't know what to pray for, Yaradua's health or the Soup(er) Eagles

I dunno why ppl thinks Mikel is d problem of Nigeria football when we all know a player dont make a team. beside I dont see anyway Mikel alone can solve SE problem.
Re: Nigeria Vs Benin At Nations Cup: 1 - 0 by semid4lyfe(m): 5:25pm On Jan 14, 2010
This should be our starting line-up against Benin on Saturday.

Vincent Enyeama
Daniel Shittu
Onyekachi Apam
Chidi Odiah
Elderson Echiejile
Dickson Etuhu
Uche kalu
Mikel Obi
Osaze Odemwingie
Obinna Nsofor
Chinedu Obasi

They should play a 4-4-2 formation and line out like this

                                                    1-Enyeama

2-Odiah                     6-Shittu                                5-Apam                        3-Echiejile

                                                      4-Etuhu

7-Odemwingie                                10-Mikel                                                11-Nsofor

                                     9-Obasi                               8-Uche

Surprising inclusions shey? grin Believe me, this is the best starting 11 we can present from the 23 players at Angola 2010.

NB- The Nos represent their positions on the pitch. If Martins is fit to play he should start and pair Obasi in Attack while Kalu Uche plays as the Attacking Midfileder so Mikel drops to the Bench.
Just my two cents.

@ Semid4lyfe

I'd prefer to see this line up and formation instead:

                                                         Enyeama

                                        Yobo(c)                          Shittu
Odiah                                                                                                       Taiwo

                                                          Ayila

                                        Mikel                           Uche

                 Obasi                                                                       Nsofor
                                                        Osaze

I have a soft spot for the 4-3-3 formation. smiley

I'd rather have Odemwingie as our main striker. He is used to playing in that position at club level and I prefer him in that position.

If Nsofor is ineffective, bring him out for Martins then Osaze takes the left flank, Martins the center forward position.
Kanu coming in is always a bad sign because that would mean the team is lacking in the creativity department.

Sessegnon and Omontoyossi will deal with 9ja.

I'm actually looking forward to seeing Sessegnon make our defence look more useless than they already are.

Mixed emotions. I want them to do well because of players-like Osaze-that work hard and are committed; if they lose then we just might fix things before the world cup.

Guys why una dey do like this again?

A friend of mine got slammed at the back of his ride on marina after the match and by the time they got to the police to make statement, they all found out the previous match follow cause the accident cos the man was vexed!!!!!

So u guys should simply pray that the chickens come home and join in the search for our president and also i strongly suggest NFF should start talks now with a more experienced coach!

grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
Re: Nigeria Vs Benin At Nations Cup: 1 - 0 by princekevo(m): 7:18am On Jan 15, 2010
There is no 2 ways abt that. If they can not win Benin, then they should start coming back home.

This AFCON has been full of surprises so dont underestimate anyone.

My thoughts exactly. There're (almost) no weak teams anymore. However, the SE can play much much better as a team. Don't hold your breath though.

Right on the button, i am surprised to see the stats overwhelmingly in Nigeria's favor discounting the form/fitness and experience of the Benin Team
