Text: Acts 3,4 and 5

Acts 1:8New King James Version (NKJV)

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

After the coming of the witness, it became a necessity for the Apostles to carry out the mandate for which they had been called. They received the witness which witnessed and identified with their spirits to produce supernatural works of faith.

How were the apostles able to let the witness work in them?

a. They had a clear knowledge of Jesus (Acts 3:14-17, 17:3).

b. They knew their inadequacies (Acts 4:23-31, Psa 34:10)

c. They knew what they had (Acts 3:4-7, 1 Sam 17:45-46)

2. What was the work of the witness?

a. It united the Church (Acts 4:32)

b. It produced works with evidences (Acts 4:14-17, 5:14-16)

c. It empowered the believers to witness (Acts 4:19-20).



It was the Holy spirit that enabled the Apostles to carry out their work on earth without fear.
