We can resist temptation from Satan the way Jesus did.Jesus resisted temptation with the word of God.Jesus said in Matthew 4:4 -But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Bread is food for the body but the bible is food for our souls.You need it to live.
Our battle is not with flesh and blood that is other humans beings but with Satan and the demons even though we cannot see Satan and the demons.They tempt us to sin so we can go to hell.Ephesians 6: 12-For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Example- If Satan tempts us with pride-Pride goeth before destruction Proverbs 16:18

Satan tempts us with confusion- You pray constantly.

Satan tempts us with dirty habits- You resist- Cleanliness is next to Godliness.

Resist Satan and he will flee from you.
