Languages are not just preserved by mere wishes. Like I said nothing lasts forever and that is a fact of nature.

How many physics books have been written in Yoruba language? How many chemistry, accounts, geography, mathematics, economics etc books have been written in Yoruba language? If you want to preserve your language and make sure it never gets eroded you must ensure that 99% of the books used in institutions are written and taught in Yoruba language, all media houses propagate news in Yoruba, and that Yoruba becomes the official lingua Franca of the Yoruba people.

Anything other than that is a mere wish.

It is very deep and it is not just a language. It is about identity and believing that is worthy of being known and propagated.

Isn't Yoruba the unifying language of the yorubas?

At the end of the day all yorubas understand each other but there may be slight differences whereas Niger Delta languages are totally completely different in that an urhobo cannot understand a word of Ijaw and vice versa. So Pidgin is our unifying language.

As for Anambra, na Igbo dey reign for there. Pidgin nor too follow. Na only for Onitsha dem dey speak small pidgin based on Asaba influence and based on say strangers boku for there. For Bayelsa matter ehn, Yenagoa na correct pidgin area. The people wey get the town na Epie/Atissa dem dey speak normally but Izon people and Ogbia people plenty for the cabal so na pidgin naim dem take dey control their matters for there.

Who says so? Tell me huh? First of all you think you know which is stupid because really you don't know. Second of all Goan research on Pidgins and creoles and linguistics thoroughly then come back to debate. As long as it has native speakers it's a language. You think languages just popped out of the air they constantly are born from a much more older language. Go to your History book read on Latin and vulgar Latin and the history of French Spanish Italian Portuguese and your dear English which is actually started of as a Corruption of Latin German Scandinavian French Greek etc.

Do you not understand that our languages are 100% distinct from each other? Do you as a Yoruba hear igbo? In the same vein an urhobo person doesn't understand a word of Ijaw or itsekiri , there couldn't have been another unifying language other than Pidgin.
